Physical Description: Callum is quite the tall and lanky lad for his age. While one would assume he was athletic based upon his frame, he was quite clumsy (a point of personal contention). Still, his mop of sandy-blonde hair frames his face nicely giving him a charming enough presence to make up for his lack of physical grace.

Mental Description: A bit shy and awkward at first introduction, Callum can be quite fun to be around once he knows a person. Over the years he's learned to rely on his skill of being aloof when he doesn't know how to handle a social situation. It's worked well so far, but now he's away from home, who knows. Ambitious, but loyal, Callum is driven when he sets himself to a goal and will protect those he loves even at his own expense.

Biography: Callum grew up in Tottenham but his fondest memories come from his time at their summer home, a lovely old manor home set upon the cliffs of Tinsworth. The only child of Clifford and Camila Salem, he was afford a privileged upbringing. The property he grew up on was large and he loved his childhood growing up in nature exploring the beaches and lowlands, but he longed for friends. His home was isolated and while he loved his parents, he wished he had someone his age around.

Imagine then, Callum's delight when his letter from Hogwarts finally arrived. Coming from a pure blood family he knew it was just a matter of time, but he was finally going to have a chance to strike out on his own and experience more of the wizarding world.

First Instance of Magic: It was a cloudy December morning and a cold wind swept across the beach. Callum had gone out early today to explore but didn't expect the weather to shift so quickly. Suddenly a gale kicked up on the sea and within seconds waterspouts burst forth from the ocean. Callum bolted along the coast line, his feet sticking in the ever more wet sand. Lightning stuck around his and then BAM his foot caught a bit of drift wood and began to fall. As Callum prepped for the pain of hitting the ground, everything went silent. He was frozen in space, surrounded by a bubble of sorts. While the storm raged around him, Callum found himself safe inside a forcefield of his own creation.

Callum didn't know how he'd achieved this, except maybe a strong combination of fear and adrenaline, but that was a good a guess as any. Regardless, Callum spent the next half an hour safe inside his created dome of tranquility as the storm rose to a fury and then slowly recessed away. By the time Callum made it home that afternoon, His Hogwarts letter was waiting for him.
