Jeronimo is the son of Richard Kang, a Muggle, and Wanda Hope, a reluctant half-blood witch. His mother was always wary of magic, and usually didn't acknowledge her own magical heritage. In fact, she was even attracted to a sweet, sweet man for whom magic wasn't real. Richard never knew about Wanda or the secret world of wizards, as Wanda tried her best to live her life as Muggles do. As a matter of fact, Richard believed he was the stranger of the two, as a first-generation immigrant in London from Korea.
The day that their son Geronimo was born was the happiest day of their lives.
However, Wanda couldn't hide her heritage forever. When her son started showing signs of being magical at the age of 7, she revealed the truth - hidden for nearly 10 years - to her husband.
It went about as well as you'd expect.
Jerry was always a quirky child. He revelled in the ridiculous and odd. When he was 7, he insisted on changing his last name's spelling to "Khan", so he could tell people he was related to the great Genghis Khan. (By the time he realized what a horrible person he was, Jerry had gotten too used to the name.) He also wanted to change his name so that it started with a J, just to confuse people.
Despite (or perhaps because of) his antics, he is amiable and easy to talk to. As he grew up and in the aftermath of his parents' divorce, he developed a more self-depecrating sense of humor, often acting the fool for laughs. Regardless, most people find that he is agreeable and occasionally witty.
At the same time, Jerry is secretly shy and easily embarrassed. While he is quippy and charming and loves to talk, he doesn't feel the same about parties. He loves to be surrounded by friends and having fun, but because he feels he is fat, he hates dancing.
Jerry is tall and plump. For an 11-year-old, he has a large, imposing frame, but acts almost as if he isn't used to being so large. As such, he is clumsy and trips over many things. He has thick black-brown hair which doesn't look so thick when he combs it.
Jeronimo can play some guitar and can speak and write English and Korean.
