Cara Newman is a natural red head with hazel eyes and white skin. She also has some freckles on both sides of the nose. Her hair comes down just below her shoulders and is almost always pulled back into a low ponytail.

Cara is smart, kind, and has an awesome sense of humor which she inherits from her father. She may be slightly introverted, but can make some friends. She has a way with words that helps her persuade others to agree with her in a nice and respectful way. She reminds others of her Mum, in that she spends a ton of time in the reading room reading books. Her favorite books are on different types of potions.

She was always quite adventurous and enjoyed cooking with her Mum, and watching her parents perform cool spells. She has a younger brother named Sam, and he is four years old.

Her first instance of magic occurred when she was three years old. She had been climbing the rocks near their house when she lost her footing. She tumbled down screaming in fear and landed on the grass looking up at the brilliant blue sky shocked. Her Dad came running and noticed that there wasn't a single cut or scrape on her. Cara was so excited that she had fallen without a cut or broken bone that she got up and danced around while her father ran into the house to tell her Mum what happened. Her parents were so proud that they gave Cara her first toy broomstick, which spiked her love of quiditch.
