Hi there! I am Faith Beckett (although most people call me Fai). I have blonde hair, brown eyes, fair skin, and I am rather tall for my age. I am fluent in English, French, BSL, and Spanish.

I may seem very shy, but I am always more than happy to talk to anyone who approaches me. I love to study, and you almost never find me without a book. I also really like to learn languages, right now I am learning Latin, German, Greek, and Portuguese. Another thing I really enjoy is going on walks around Hogwarts and enjoying the aesthetic atmosphere.

Previous to Hogwarts, I was homeschooled by my mom. Due to me being a fast learner, I managed to whizz right through my schoolwork, even doing school in the summer and on the weekends! Last school year (22-23) I completed all of the needed work to pass year 8.

Because I moved so much, I was never really able to maintain any friendships. I was born in Scotland (where most of my family is from) and shortly after, I moved to the United States for my dad's work. When I was five, I moved from New York to England to live near family. I live there at this point in time.

At the age of six, I was painting a vase with my mom. When the vase was finished and baked, I got to hold it. But I sneezed and accidentally broke it (straight down the middle)! My mom was not very happy...

When I got my Hogwarts letter on my eleventh birthday, my mom was shocked. My dad of course knew that I would get it, he is a wizard. As for my mom, however, she was very surprised.

For fun I would like to share the English translation of a classic French poem I like:

Tomorrow, at Dawn
by Victor-Marie Hugo
translated by James A. Tweedie

Tomorrow, when the countryside is kissed by dawn,
I’ll leave. For you are waiting there for me I know.
Through forests, over mountains I'll journey on;
For we have been apart too long—I miss you so.

And I will walk with eyes so fixed upon my thoughts
That outside sounds and sights I will neither hear nor see.
Alone, unknown, back bent, hands crossed as tight as knots,
And sad, so that the day will seem as night to me.

I'll not heed the sunset’s gold at close of day
Or note the distant sails descending on Harfleur.
When I at last arrive, upon your grave I will lay
Green holly and the finest heather in full flower.

Note: Victor Hugo has a lot of great works (novels, poems, plays). Definitely look him up!

And last (but certainly not least) a bible verse for hope and inspiration – Mark 9:23b ...all things are possible to him who believes.

If you want more verse recommendations, want to give me more verse recommendations, or want to study the Bible with me, just send me a message! I would love to chat with you!
