Amber Westcott is an ambitious and diligent girl from Brockham, England. Her parents are both muggles but she'd always known about magic from her witch neighbor, Agatha Axelbird, who loved to show her tricks. Agatha had told her about the secret world of wizards and witches and said that Amber had a gift, probably passed down from a magical ancestor. Amber knew about Hogwarts as well but didn't think that she'd be invited, since she grew up in the Muggle world and both of her parents were muggles themselves.
Amber's mother is from Brazil and her father is Asian. She got her long dark, and almost black, hair from her mother, along with most of her facial features, such as her large, kind and curious eyes, there black color coming from her father. Her rosy cheeks come from a mixture of the two. She's tall for her age, at 5'4", and has a strong, curvy build from her mother.
Amber has two siblings, her older brother Henry and her younger brother Oliver. Henry is in a band and since she knows how to play the violin he sometimes let's her play with him. Amber is closest to her her younger brother, though, since their only two years apart, rather than six years apart with her Henry. They always shared secrets and played together, but now that she'd be away for a long time for the next seven years Amber feared that they'd grow apart. She hoped that he had magic in him so he could go to Hogwarts too.
