Physical Description: One third British, one third Caribbean and one third Hispanic! Has a light tan.
Amaris has dark-brown hair and brown eyes. Her hair can be straight at times but then also curly/wavy. She's very quiet.

Mental Description:
Quick note: Amaris can be really sad sometimes, occasionally resulting in panic attacks. This is caused due to trauma from childhood, mentioned later on in this biography.
Amaris (Ah-mar-ee) is a very conservative character, keeping to herself most of the time - although she is still friendly! She has a good relationship with her family and has very little friends (she finds it hard to make friends due to her keeping to herself). She can be very sarcastic sometimes but people think she is trying to be rude. Sarcasm is Amaris's type of humour!

Biography: Amaris lives with her mum (Hispanic) and dad (Mixed-White and Caribbean) , her little sister Sara and her beloved Jack Russel dog named "Maggie". They live in a 4-bedroom house in a cul-de-sac road. They are a fairly-wealthy family earning just above average pay. Amaris spends her free time at the beach (10min walk) paddleboarding, cooking, or listening to her favourite music. You will mostly find her stuck in her room unless doing these things. She speaks English at home, however when with cousins (mum's side) or mum alone, she speaks fluent Spanish.

First Instance of Magic: Amaris produced her first instance of magic when she was 9 years old. She was at the beach with her mother and sister and they were all eating ice creams. Amaris was especially sad at this time because her great abuelo had recently died, and she was very close with him. Upon taking the first lick of her favourite ice cream flavour, banoffee , it had melted and flowed down her new dress! This made Amaris even more sad, because banoffee ice cream was her favourite, and she hadn't even had more than one lick of it, before it had gone and made her dress all sticky and ruined. Her mother was shocked but comforted Amaris as her first instance of magic hadn't been the best experience. Maybe ice cream wasn't the best thing to have during Amaris's mourning period..

Childhood trauma:
Amaris was with her great abuelo when he died. They were in his living room, she was 9, and they were writing music together. Amaris was a very bubbly character before this day. They both loved music.
All of a sudden, he started having a cardiac arrest. He had been short of breath all morning, and now he wasn't breathing at all. Vomit flew out of his mouth onto Amaris, and she just sat there, panicking. She didn't know what to do. She just stood there, helpless. She had no phone, nor did he.
"Abuelo, abuelo, abuelo.. ¿Lo que está sucediendo?
No response. His body was discovered thirty minutes later when Amaris's mother came to pick her up, Amaris was huddled against his side, both of them soaked in vomit, she was sobbing hard.

To this day Amaris is haunted by the death of her abuelo. She blames herself, she stood there and watched him die. She didn't mean to not say anything, but she was speechless and panicking. She misses him dearly.
Maybe this is why Amaris isn't very friendly to others, she's just too focused on other things to be nice.
