Physical Description:
Seamus O'Clary has always been big for his age, taller and broader than his peers. Fair-skinned like most of his countrymen, he is prone to sunburns, which doesn't bother him much, as he prefers to spend his time exploring the heart of the forest or any number of the caves near his childhood home. His auburn hair is long and unkempt, spilling this way and that as he stoops and clambers through places that most wouldn't dare to venture. The clothes he wears when not in his house robes are entirely chosen for their utilitarian function, durable and full of all the pockets he needs for any sort of trinket he encounters.

Mental Description:
Seamus spends a fair amount of time alone, not for distaste of company, but rather, it is difficult to find someone who is willing to keep up with him. There is nothing he finds more thrilling than journeying to some long-forgotten place where no person has set foot in ages, if ever, and simply reveling in the antediluvian nature of it. He views rules as something put in place to simply discourage the undetermined, and the best locales to visit are often those he is explicitly told not to. Steadfast and loyal, he always ensures that he is the first one into such a location, and should those with any authority catch wind of the expedition, the last one out.

Biography:
Raised in the wooded hills outside of Belfast, Seamus has always had a fascination with the natural world. His mother, Morgan O'Clary, is a powerful witch of her own accord, and did all she could to prepare her son for schooling at Hogwarts without drawing the Ministry's attention. Spellcasting was, of course, off the table, but magical creatures were plentiful in the secluded glades and caves nearby. Superstitious even by wizarding standards, Morgan taught Seamus everything she knew about appeasing faeries, bridling kelpies, and the warning signs of a passing troll.
Seamus's father is another story, a much larger one, literally and figuratively. In her travels, Morgan met the giant Bergelmir, an enormous but gentle soul whose grasp of English was just charming enough to win her over. The two settled down in the countryside, Morgan in a cozy little cottage, and Bergelmir in a more secluded site several kilometers away where he wouldn't accidentally crush the house
Morgan believed that Seamus should have an understanding of both the magical and nonmagical world, and enrolled him in a muggle primary school for his formative years. There, he met his childhood best friend Winston Greene, a sickly but imaginative boy who drew up perfect plans that complemented Seamus's action-oriented nature. The two lads were inseparable, whether fencing with sticks to play at being knights, or finding a perfect rock to roll off a hill to splash into some unsuspecting pond. More than once, the two landed themselves in hot water for exploring some abandoned or off-limits place, but Morgan could only shake her head and smile, for there was often more than one lesson to learn from such circumstances. But the good times could not last forever...

First Instance of Magic:
When Seamus and Winston were ten, they were confronted after school by a hot-tempered and easily offended boy named Christian Carmine, who may or may not have been the target of some lighthearted jape on Winston's part. Seamus, normally gentle as a lamb, flew to his friend's defense, and in the ensuing scuffle, threw a punch accidentally enhanced my magic that was so forceful that it blasted Christian back several meters. The boy made a full recovery thanks to modern muggle medicine, but Morgan was so concerned that she pulled Seamus out of primary school, opting to homeschool him until his owl arrived.
