Physical Description:
Astra is rather small girl, at 4 foot 6 inches and weight of 61 pounds. She has light skin. Her hair is light brown and about shoulder length, she prefers to keep it behind her ears because it is the most comfortable. Her eyes are brown and her eyebrows are rather thick. Moreover, she likes to wear bright and colorfull clothes.
Mental Description:
Astra is intelligent and didn't struggle much with studying in school so far. She is also very curious about the world around and enjoys learning new things. She also likes doing new things and deep down dreams about adventures, which makes her excited for attending Hogwarts. She is also prone to boredom if the thing she is doing is repetitive. It could cause some problems in studying, but so far she learned everything smoothly.
The biggest issue she faces is a giant lack of self-confidence. She seeks confirmation (not necessarily verbal) from others, that she is doing things correctly. It makes her shy in some of the social situations, but it depends and she gets more comfortable when she gets to know someone more.
When talking with others, she tries being nice and friendly, but might be sometimes awkward, because she didn't really have that many friends before. She regrets it, but is deeply inside scared, that this might always be the case.

Astra was born as the first (and only) child to Henry and Isabelle Leaughton on 13 of november in 2011. Her father is an astrophysicist teaching at a university and mother is a programmer. She has good relationship with her parents and loves them the most in the world. As for the rest of the family, they live far away so they are kind of strangers to her.
In school, she used to be one of the best students in her class, with not that much effort, exception being arts.
As for friends, she didn't really have any, unfortunately. It doesn't mean she was completely lonely - she talked to peers in school, but she rarely met them outside of school.
At the age of 8, she attended dancing classes, but it just felt dull, however, this is where she learned about drama club. She joined it and really liked it, even though it made her really scared sometimes. It is not clear, whether she would make it without the emotional support of her parents the first time, but now the applause at the end of spectacle is more than enough of a motivator.
First Instance of Magic:
The first instance of magic happened when Astra was just 6 years old. She accidentally broke her favourite cup. Circumstances were unclear, but shattered pieces laid all over the suddenly wet carpet. With face full of tears, she rushed to tell her dad, but upon his investigation, the supposedly destroyed cup stayed on the table, moreover full of tea. They brushed this situation as some sort of misunderstanding.
