Max is a nerdy kid that gets easily picked on due to the way he mouths off. He has some gall for someone who could be thrown like a lawn dart. He's the opposite of mild-mannered. Despite this, he has a great sense of justice and will intervene in conflict, regardless of personal injury or loss. His thinking tends to err on the black and white side; he's too young to really understand the nuances of a situation. He's stubborn and argumentative. Due to childhood trauma, he suffers from night terrors and other issues, but he's good at hiding it.

He is short and thin framed, with messy strawberry blonde hair that he lets grow for far too long. His eyes are big and blue with an inquisitive sort of spark.

He's not strong at all, but he has high endurance and agility from years of getting into scuffles with kids much bigger than him.

His mother is a wizard who specializes in botany, and his father is a muggle that works a blue collar job. He was raised in a very muggle like manner, going to school and living in the city. He has a strained relationship with his family and could barely wait for the opportunity to get out, although he laments how old fashioned Hogwarts can be.
