Hi! My name is Arya Hawthorne, and I am 11. I am tall-ish for my age (last time I measured I was 4'10" ), and I have long, brown hair. It's really thick and curly, so it can be hard to take care of but (despite my mum's efforts) I would never cut it short. My eyes are also brown, and I have long eyelashes and thick eyebrows. My face is fairly round and I have a strong nose, with round eyes. I had my ears pierced as a baby.
I'm outgoing and bubbly, but I know how to listen. I care a lot about the people who matter to me, and I'd do anything to help them, but I can be stubborn and argumentative if someone does something I don't agree with. I like things to be fair, and work hard to make sure people learn from their mistakes. I'd never hesitate to point out if I think something is wrong, and would intervene. I also love reading and performing.
I'm a halfblood, (my dad is a Muggle, but my mum's a witch), and although my dad is from Mexico, I grew up in Manchester. I know some Spanish, but because my mum only speaks English that's what we speak at home, so I'm not fluent. My parents love me, and each other, a lot, and I love them too. My mum told my dad about the wizarding world on the day of their wedding, and yes he was surprised, but it didn't change anything between them. My dad wanted me to go to a Muggle public school when I was little, so (even though my mum wanted to homeschool me), that's what I did. I'm going to miss my friends (especially Martha), but I can't wait to make more.
My first performance of magic was when I was 7. I remember being really upset because I'd dropped my favourite toy in the road, and there was this huge lorry coming towards it. I started to cry and then all of a sudden it flew out of the road and landed next to me! I was with my dad, and, being Muggle, he didn't really know what to do, so he took me home and told my mum. She was so excited to learn for definite that I was a witch and although she wished she could have seen it, it was a really special moment for all of us.
