First Instance of Magic: Please describe your character's first instance of accidental underaged wandless magic.


Alice is an average height, about 4 foot 6 inches tall, 11 year old, with have long black hair, almost to her waist, but it’s always in a ponytail. She have brown/hazel eyes that are also a little green due to heterochromia iridium. Her friends tell her that she have the prettiest eyes they’ve ever seen, not to brag.

She’s more of a worrier than a warrior, to be honest. She’s quite shy, afraid to talk to anyone who isn’t someone who she already knows, although she does better when talking to adults than peers and prefers for others to approach her and start the conversation. She notices things and follows conversations that she’s not a part of and would rather observe from the sidelines. She does love mental stimulation, not so much physical. She loves to read and prefers to be on my own, or with only her family. Many people have told her that she looks mad or mean, but it’s just how she naturally looks. She just doesn’t smile all that often.

Before Hogwarts, she attended a private school for wizard family children. Her family is well off, middle class, and her parents immigrated to England before she was born. Most of her extended family is back in China although Floo Powder makes travelling around much easier. She has a brother who is only a couple years younger and they have always been pretty close. She loves him as her baby brother and she’s sad to be away from him and her parents. She has some close friends, not many, but enough. They attended the same school she did, so they’ll be coming to Hogwarts too, but after some thought, she thinks it’s best that to start over and make some new friends. They were not exactly the best friends she could’ve had. She doesn’t want to be held back by them. Her family values education a lot and she hopes to make them proud and bring home good marks and lots of new knowledge. Many of her family members have been from Ravenclaw.

Her first instance of magic was when she was about 6-7 years old. Her family had just moved to a new town and she was struggling to adjust. She had left all of her friends and now had to make more, but it was hard. She’s usually very calm and it takes a little bit to get her angry, but when she gets angry or upset, she’s really upset. What happened was that with her emotions running high, she had inadvertently blown up a handful of lightbulbs in the room she was in and the one next door. Her parents were not happy with that, but all was forgiven after they realized that she had just done her first instance of magic. She had always been a late bloomer so her parents were a little worried when she had yet to exhibit any magical ability yet. They were relieved after that though.
