Appearance
Silas is definitely not the type that can go unnoticed, having a big red curly puff of hair on his head. His pale skin is covered in freckles, especially his face. He's slightly taller than average, standing at approximately 150 cm. Silas seems to have a preference to darker tones when it comes to his wardrobe.

Personality
A sweet boy with a deep character, Silas is incredibly sensitive and caring-- which may not always be a good thing. He presents a high level of emotional intelligence and is often able to pick up on little things that many others would ignore. Despite his fine social skills, Silas tends to lean towards introversion. He consistently keeps a small circle of friends which he enjoys interacting with, rather than many friends that he would only feel somewhat close to. His preference to calmer and deeper social interactions are in no way reflective on his self-worth, though. Silas is reasonably confident, and won't let others sway his thought to another direction. He's not one to go with the flow, and doesn't seem troubled by the idea of straying from the standards. With that said, Silas has his fair share of troubles and insecurities, as any child would. His irritable personality is often a surprise to others, in comparison with his sweet and caring tendencies. Silas doesn't properly express his feelings, often in attempt to prioritize others over himself, but this results in explosive reactions every now and then. He's also not as quiet as he may initially seem, he just takes a bit of time to open up. He can get somewhat defensive over certain topics, such as the things he believes in and the people he's close with. While Silas doesn't necessarily enjoy leadership roles, he seems perfectly capable of providing guidance. He's reasonably independent for his age, and seems to already have developed his own moral ideals in life.

Biography
Silas comes from a unique family residing in Hogsmeade. His mother, Cressida, is a squib - having no magical attributes despite direct wizarding heritage, in her case, from both sides. His father, Andre, on the other hand, is a wizard coming from a muggle family. Their marriage was initially looked down upon, but eventually both sides of the family came around and accepted things as they were. The couple moved into a cozy house in Hogsmeade about a year prior to the wedding, with plans to raise their children there. When Silas was still a baby, relatives on his mother's side were doubtful of his future in the wizarding world. They feared he'd have a higher chance of never doing magic due to his heritage. His first time exhibiting magic was not caught by anyone in his family, but the second time got his mother's attention. Silas grew up being constantly reassured and reminded by his parents that he would be loved for who he is, but having been raised in Hogsmeade, there was inevitable pressure to show any magical ability. In retrospect, he believes the struggle of having an atypical family in the wizarding world only made him stronger, and allowed him to find comfort in being unique. Silas was raised to embrace others regardless of their differences, likely because of his parents' painful experience with prejudice. He learned to accept those who were different from him at a very young age, and was probably better for it. Silas spent the majority of his childhood in Hogsmeade, with occassional visits to Cambridge where his father's side of the family lives.

First Instance of Magic
Silas' first interaction with magic was when he was nearly three years old. He was visiting his family in Cambridge and got spooked by a thunder. Without any intention or awareness, he caused the windows to slam shut. Everyone assumed it was the wind and went on without giving it a second thought.
