Physical Description: Robin has quite average looks which she makes up for with her developing sense of fashion. She is definitely pretty, but not a type of pretty that would blow someone away. Her complexion is fair, and she is pale enough to burn easily in the sun, but she also has an abundance of freckles dotting her face, shoulders and arms that are even more noticeable in the summer. She has blue doe eyes that are very soft and inviting to everyone, which makes it impossible for anyone to ever initially be intimidated by Robin. They are also very expressive, and anyone could know how Robin was feeling almost instantly by looking at her eyes. She is also a natural brunette, and her hair is slightly wavy with a length that is just below her shoulders. Her fringe was something that came from a boring afternoon one summer holiday.

However, before she came to Hogwarts she decided that she wasn't entirely happy with how she naturally looked, so she decided to give herself a makeover. She now wears brown colored contacts to hide her blue eyes and uses concealer to conceal the majority of her freckles, though she does like to keep a few of them visible. Until her fringe grows out, she has resorted to clipping it back with bobby pins. This is all in an effort to hopefully look more pretty so she can find it easier to fit in and thus, hopefully, people will like her more.

Unlike most of her peers, Robin is shorter than average and she currently stands at a petite 4'7 (which she desperately hopes will change as time moves on). She is a healthy weight for her age and she is already starting to gain an athletic build, which is only bound to improve as she grows older.

Her style is definitely the most interesting thing about her appearance, as she has found a keen interest in anything that is colorful. The more color and patterns on the clothing, the better. She could be defined as quite the girly girl as she loves to wear feminine, but still practical (she does live on a farm, after all), clothing. Most of her clothing is bought from thrift stores and she got both of her ears pierced as a present for her 11th birthday.

Mental Description: Robin, at her core, is a kind and selfless individual. She has all of the qualities you would want in a good friend, and she strives to help others and put their needs before her own. Happiness radiates off of her in waves, and she is essentially the golden retriever of friendship groups. She is also an incredibly curious and imaginative young girl - she has grown up willing to always try new things, which has since been heightened after finding out that she's a witch. Robin has such a wild fascination with magic and is still trying to wrap her head around the fact that the Wizarding World is a real thing, something that she has a place in, and not something out of a storybook. It is obvious that Robin is incredibly loyal to her friends and would do anything to keep them happy. Thankfully, she still has a childlike innocence about her and feels no rush to grow up too fast, even if that means she can be slightly immature at times, and she doesn't exactly make the best decisions all of the time.

Although, under her happy-go-lucky demeanor, Robin is incredibly insecure and has a muddled sense of her self-worth, which stems from her time in foster core. Because of this, her adoption is a touchy subject for her and she won’t mention it to anyone unless they really gain her trust. Sometimes she isn’t entirely sure who she is, and she desperately craves acceptance from everyone to the point that she will go as far as changing and hiding parts of herself around others to suit their own personal needs and to make them like her. Some could also call her a pushover, as her desperate need to be liked by everyone makes her go above and beyond to do things for others. She isn’t one to stand up for herself or to cause conflict, even if that means being subjected to bullying.

All in all, she’s really just a girl desperately wanting to be liked so she has at least some sense of self-worth.

Biography: Robin Isabella Monroe was born on 17th June 2012 at 2:13pm in a hospital in Harrogate, Yorkshire, England to Muggle parents. Her birth mother had died during childbirth and her birth father had then decided that he didn't want to, nor did he have the resources, to take care of a newborn baby on his own, so she was sent into the foster care system. She went through a lot of different foster families, some were good and others weren't so much, but none of them seemed to love her enough to adopt her and make her a permanent edition to their family. Luckily, whenever she was 8 years old, she was fostered by a single dad called Arthur Monroe who lived on a farm on the outskirts of Harrogate with his teenage daughter Daphne Monroe (who is currently 15 years old). Daphne's mother and Arthur had Daphne at a relatively young age, when they were both only in their early twenties. One night, Daphne's mother had a breakdown and claimed she couldn't take care of a child anymore as she still had a life to live, so Arthur took it upon himself to be a single dad for Daphne, and now Robin.

Robin instantly felt at home, something had supposedly clicked inside her and she knew that this was where she was meant to end up. Arthur had seemingly felt the same, which was a rarity as usually he didn't seem keen on adopting any of the children he fostered but something changed with Robin as a year later, shortly after her 9th birthday, he decided to adopt her. Her surname was legally changed to Arthur's surname, and she was officially part of the family. Despite being a single dad, he was doing a great job at it and the house was constantly filled with nothing but warmth and love. Robin is extremely close to Daphne, and the two have an ever-growing sisterly bond that almost nothing could break. She loves Arthur too, and their bond is something that is so special to her that she sometimes forgets she isn't his biological daughter. That doesn't seem to phase either of them though, and they continue to grow closer every day, she feels safe enough to tell him almost anything. She also loves helping out on the farm, which could probably come as a shock to some people as the way she dresses doesn't exactly scream country or farm girl, but she fell in love with it instantly and started doing chores to help with the farm as soon as her father said she was allowed. She even has her own horse called Shimmer that she is currently trying to learn how to ride (albeit with a bit of a struggle). Working on the farm will definitely be something she misses while at Hogwarts.

Throughout her childhood, she attended a lot of different primary schools as she was moved between different foster families before sticking to one when Arthur adopted her. She made a few good friends, and everyone seemed to generally like her thanks to her efforts, but she can't say she'll miss much of it when she goes to Hogwarts. Her grades were relatively average, and she did have a joy for learning, but more so the type of learning that took place outside of the classroom, yet she still tried her best during class and managed to pull through each year.

As her father and sister are Muggles, the knowledge of Robin's magical inheritance came as a major shock to all three of them. Immediately, Robin was scared that this would scare Arthur and make him regret adopting her, but instead he took it in stride and tried to be incredibly supportive and reassuring about it. Admittedly, it was still tough to deal with as something that all three of them previously thought to be fictional was instead very much real, and Robin would soon be sent to a magical school in the Scottish Highlands to learn about magic. They tried their best to adjust to this new revelation, and Robin feels a mixture of nerves and excitement as she thinks about all of the adventures to come from her time at Hogwarts, even if she will miss her father and sister.

First Instance of Magic: Robin's first instance of magic went unnoticed as it was entirely unexpected. When she was 7 years old and in one of her many foster care families, she was innocently sat on the couch in the living room and watching TV whilst eating her lunch. Her plate was balancing precariously on one knee (which was already quite a stupid place to put it, but she was seven) and a loud noise from the cartoon playing on television had startled her enough that she jumped, only for the plate to fall off her knee and smash on the floor. Immediately, she jumped off the couch in a panic, desperately trying to clean the mess up before her foster mum entered to see what the noise was. Her foster mum wasn't exactly keen on Robin's tendency to do stupid and reckless things, and she really didn't want to get into trouble again for breaking a plate and making a mess of ceramic shards, chicken nuggets, and ketchup on the floor. In her haste to clean the mess up, she managed to nick her finger on one of the shards. Pulling her hands away from the mess, she hissed in pain. It was only a tiny cut on the side of her finger, but it still hurt enough and the mess of the broken plate and food was still there. Then, one moment she was feeling a mixture of fear and pain, gingerly holding the finger that had gotten nicked and then she blinked and the mess was gone, alongside the nick being healed. The plate had somehow magically repaired itself and was sitting on the couch, with her half-eaten chicken nuggets on it and not on the floor. Her foster mum had found her sitting on the floor, jaw dropped in shock. She couldn't explain what had happened for the life of her.
