Hi! I'm Mae Harper! I'm average height with shoulder-length dark brown hair, but it can look blondish in the right lighting. My eyes are dark hazel.
My birthday is November 11th, 2010.
Back when I did Muggle subjects like math and science, I was very good at learning. I hope it will be the same with magic! I'm good at solving puzzles and very good at chess (I was the school champion of chess back at Muggle school).
My mum's a Muggle, and it was a shock for her when she realized Dad's a wizard! Mum understood when I got the letter, though she was hesitant to let me go. Dad convinced her that it wouldn't be dangerous . . . but he told me (in private) that he got in loads of trouble at Hogwarts! I'm excited to go, Dad's told me a whole bunch of really neat stories.
I learned I was a witch the hard way, I'm afraid to say. I was angry, of course, because Mum had just sent me to my room because I had hit my little brother (we think he's a Squib). Anyway, as I said I was angry, and that's when something I'll never forget happened! You see, my brother had just burst into my bedroom and I was having rather terrible thoughts about him, and suddenly he cried out in pain. I felt so bad afterward, when Dad explained to me that I had done magic on him to hurt him somehow. Anyway, that was a long time ago, and my brother was only two, so he doesn't remember. I'm excited to learn how to control my magic, especially now that I have a wand.
