(Is it okay if i'm awful at writing? I've never really written or roleplayed before, so I'm not good at it... I'm hoping I'll get better... darn, this is quite embarrassing, yknow!!!! Sorry for being so bad and dumb at this... I'm not the smartest, you see...)
Brown eyes and brown skin, long grey hair that is muggle dyed and then magically dyed when they get into hogwarts. Biologically female, but doesn't really feel any certain way about their gender.

Can be extremely reckless about their own safety and needs when trying to help others. Unremarkable as a student; although they get extremely good grades on subjects they love(such as potions, charms, transfiguration), they don't bother studying at all for subjects they hate (such as history, herbology, astrology). This lowers their overall grade to average.

A normal kid. The most thoughtful thoughtless kid; by that, it means they are careless and pretty oblivious and unobservant to the world and other people and their feelings, but when they do happen to notice a problem, they try their best to help. They grew up in a loving family with two very loving parents who paid attention to them as an only child. They are sheltered, but they are not spoilt. They only had superficial friendships with other children, and soon they had none. Extremely anxious at first because from childhood, from their earliest moments in life, they realise they were not like the other kids - any action or ability other kids could do, would take several times more effort for Ishmael to even attempt. Ishmael simply couldn't do as well as the others kids, and they knew this. Many a times when they failed at something again, they'd tearfully ask their parents why they were like this. Their parents had no answer. This cultivated an extremely anxious, nervous mindset in Ishmael, which could sow the seeds for envy and bitterness in their teenage years. Their entire life, they compared themselves to others. Never in their entire life did they believe in themselves. Eventually, through a few bouts of accidental magic, they realised they had supernatural abilities. For the first time in their life, they realised they were not like other kids, but in a good way for once. This gave them something to finally be proud of themselves for. This quickly morphed into a feeling of superiority; since they hid this talent from their parents, their parents were unable to guide them on this. However, even with the feelings of superiority, they still somehow feel inferior - it's a contradiction, but all humans are fill to the brim with those. Even with their excessive pride, they still are in fact immensely insecure. And their pride doesn't stop them from feeling empathy for the people around them - their pride and superiority and inferiority just means there is a barrier between Ishmael and others in terms of interaction. This ends up being extremely detrimental, because it hurts Ishmael's ability to make friends and so he ends up extremely lonely. By the time they learn of Hogwarts, they are excited and scared and determined to make new friends there. They had lost their religion and hope in god long ago when they realised that god didn't care, and that magic was real. Their parents are extremely religious and detest magic; so, by attending Hogwarts, Ishmael is estranging themselves from their beloved family, the only people they have in their world. This will make them very lonely. CLARIFICATION - Ishmael still lives with them, it just makes their home environment extremely tense and uncomfortable! Ishmael doesn't know whether to feel guilt or indignant anger over this, so they feel both. Ishmael isn't only full of faults, though. Ishmael has good traits - they can be extremely kind, accepting, caring, but only if they feel as if they world isn't against them. They are loyal to those they love, and when anxiety isn't blockading their mind, they can be extremely witty and intellegent. Sadly, they lack the wisdom or maturity to tackle their negative world view and anxiety, and so these positive traits only rarely show up outside of certain conditions.

Turned invisible when trying to escape the gazes of other people after an especially embarrassing moment of not being able to live up to expectations.
