She also loves to learn new things. She has notebooks full of information she wrote down from when she sits in on her father’s mythology & history classes. Pandora also likes to do gymnastics, which her mom taught her.
Biography:
Pandora is an only child. She has a mom, Lillian, and a dad, Nicholas, or Nick as he prefers to be called. Nick and Lillian were high school sweethearts who got married a year after they graduated high school. When they got married, they kept Lillian’s last name, Lyra. Nicholas then went on to college to become a high school history teacher who runs the World Mythology club at the school he works at. Lillian was a cheerleader in high school and got a scholarship for cheerleading to get a business degree in entrepreneurship. She then opened a flower shop when she graduated, and continued doing cheerleading as a hobby with some high school friends she had kept in touch with. They had Pandora when Lillian was 22 and Nick was 23.
Pandora had a very happy home life. Nick and Lillian cared for her and loved her very much. Nick taught her how to cook, and he told her stories of different myths from around the world. He would also teach her things that she would learn in school ahead of time, especially history and math. Lillian taught her how to garden, she taught her gymnastics moves, and she taught Pandora Victorian flower language.
Pandora had a lot of friends and people she was friendly with, but she had two best friends. Her first friend was named Daniel, and he was the same age as Pandora. He was tall, around 4’1, and he had pale skin, straight blonde hair, and blue eyes. He was extroverted and loud, but polite to everyone. He played basketball and was very strong and athletic. Pandora watched a lot of his games and whenever he won, when he saw Pandora he would pick her up and twirl her around out of happiness.
Her other best friend’s name was Sarah. Sarah was average height, about 4’8, and had dark skin, curly shoulder-length black hair, and brown eyes. She was also an extrovert but not as loud as Daniel, and she made jokes all the time. She didn’t play a sport, but sometimes she would let Pandora teach her some gymnastics moves. Sarah liked to put an arm around Pandora’s waist or shoulders whenever they were together.
Pandora didn’t realize this at the time, but she had a crush on both Daniel and Sarah. In fact, they were both her first crushes.
First Instance of Magic:
Pandora’s first instance of accidental magic happened when she was 8 years old. They had a big tree in the garden in the backyard, and Pandora liked to climb up all the way to the top and read a book or do homework. One time, after Pandora had climbed up and did her homework, she was about to climb down. She gathered all of her papers and other materials and put them in a bag she had brought them up with, before placing it in her, cross-body, and she started to climb down. The first branch she went down on was a little bit too high for her to just normally climb down on, so she tends to jump off the first branch and land on the second, hopefully keeping her balance. In hindsight, this was a terrible, dangerous way to climb a tree, but Pandora had always made the jump so she saw no reason to do something more safe. Well, this time when she jumped, she landed too far forward, lost her balance, and fell backwards off the tree. The branch she had fallen off was the longest branch, meaning there was nothing else to break her fall. Knowing this, she closed her eyes and put her hands behind her head, trying to protect her head during the easily 30 feet drop. When she hit the ground though, it didn’t hurt. She remained on the ground for a second, eyes closed, before opening them and seeing that yes, she is indeed on the ground. She stood up carefully and moved her arms and legs around, checking for breaks or anything that hurt. She stared up at the tree, confused. “Am I dreaming?” She said aloud. She remembered her dad telling her stories of people falling off cliffs and surviving, so she decided she was lucky and brushed it off. It wasn’t until later that night, when she saw she didn’t even have any bruises or scratches, that she got really confused and started to wonder what happened. She didn’t get her answer for another 3 years on her 11th birthday.
