Physical Description:
Cassian is shorter than most students his age, but not too thin. Rather, he is quite toned and lean for an 12 year old. His wavy brown hair is always slightly messy, but appears to be on purpose. He has a sly smile and his eyes are a piercing hazel.

Mental Description:
As a middle child and a half-blood, Cassian has an adaptable personality. He easily finds himself getting along with others, even if it means adapting himself to better fit the other person. He is competitive, independent, and an expert at blending in and not drawing attention to himself. He’s always very adaptable in duels and seems to be wired for more action-based scenarios.
Cassian needs people. While he isn’t too fond of the spotlight, he enjoys listening and taking a part in the conversation. He finds himself feeling lost and hopeless if he hasn’t helped someone or had a meaningful conversation during the day. Cassian enjoys trying to get a read on people. He is intrigued by people who hide their emotions well and veil all their intentions. Yet he feels most comfortable around honest and open people.
Cassian also struggles to pay attention and focusing on certain tasks. He exhibits many ADHD related behaviors.

Cassian is the middle child of his American witch mother and his English Muggle father. His older sister, Eloise Clarke, is two years older than him and his younger brother David, is a squib. Eloise is the perfect Hufflepuff: friendly, kind, and open. She and Cassian are great friends, although since moving to London, Eloise had been studying at Hogwarts and they haven’t had much time to bond. Cassian is excited to be able to spend more time with his sister as he now attends Hogwarts as well.
Cassian feels he fits into both the wizard and muggle worlds. Although he does seem to be a bit confused with some aspects of British culture. His father is a university professor of archeology and his mother works for the Ministry of Magic as an Obliviator.
Cassian’s father, William, moved to the West to study dinosaur fossils. While there he met an American witch, Sarah. The two married and had three children.
Originally born in Arizona, United States, Cassian’s family moved to England, when his mother was offered a position at the British Ministry of Magic. He was nine years old at the time. His mother got a job at the Ministry of Magic in London, working as an Obilivator, as she had much experience with that career in the U.S.
First Instance of Magic:
The first accidental use of Magic that occurred in London happened shortly after arriving in his new home. Separated from his family in the London Underground, a nine-year old Cassian became lost and frightened. He tried to find a quiet place, free from the chaos and noise of the underground. In his panic as he rushed by, he accidentally caused a small magical effect similar to the bombarda spell that ignited a waste bin. It was only later after he had reunited with his family that he realized he must have lit the bin on fire.
