Gemm is the average 11-year-old you would see. She stands at about 4' 9" (a bit above average). From her head flows long and wavy hair that's the perfect mix of caramel and copper. Her eyes are a causal hazel color but, in the sun, they shine a stunning greenish brown that could make anyone smile. Her skin has a light tan that deepens in the summer sun.

Gemm has always been the nerdy, clumsy type of friend in the group. She loves to read and dance around to her favorite songs. I guess you could say she's smarter than most kids, probably because she tries her best in school and earns satisfactory grades from all her effort. Although she usually is all happy and sunny, she has her sad and moody days, just like every other person in this world.

Before Hogwarts came into her life, Gem lived in a tiny cottage home on the edge of the country in Teesside, England. She is an only child who lived with her two parents and had a little squirrel that would come to visit her every morning. Gemm didn't have many friends, but she had one really close one who she could tell any secret. She mostly enjoys being alone and doesn't like loud areas.

The first time Gemm experienced magic was when she was 10 years old. It was a sunny day, and she was feeding, well tossing, her squirrel friend some nuts in her backyard. When all of a sudden, one of the nuts she threw stopped midair. She had no idea what was going on. The nut was just floating there, defying gravity and paused in time. She ran in to tell her parents what was going on. That incident was the first time Gemm found out she was from a magical family, well, only her mom was a witch, her dad was a muggle. It was insane for her to wrap her head around just the thought of being a witch. And now, to be here at Hogwarts, learning all the magic she could ever want to.
