Miles Candar is a young man with blonde hair and grey eyes and comes from the ancient city of Durham. He is slight of build and normally a rather shy fellow. His life has been sort of in flux for the last couple of years. His parents, Connor and Maria Candar, decided to wait till he was 9 to tell him about this wizarding world that he would soon be apart of.
Miles father, Connor, was a Pure Blood until he met his mother and came from a respected line of wizards that have had a few professors and half decent players in Quidditch. There were a few surprises over the last few years since finding out that he would be attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. One afternoon when he was out in the country away from any signs of civilization, his parents came out to give him his first broom lessons. While his father was never an exceptional flyer, he did play for the Ravenclaw team in his hayday as a beater. Miles soared around and around his father and found out that even though he may not have been the quickest, he was very agile in the air. Maria had a mixture of anxiety and laughter at her husbands expression when he couldn't catch Miles.
His mother, Maria, was a Lawyer in the local area and from all outwards appearances to the crowd was way out of his fathers league. His mother was thoughtful and understanding and tended to be strict when need be. Connor's father on the other hand worked in the Ministry of Magic in the Department of the use of Underage Wizardry. When on the clock he took his job very seriously, but tended to take a lax attitude when it came to his son. Connor gave Miles the restrictions on Magic, but having a father that knew the loopholes for minor infractions did help give him a slight head start in his studies.
His family was rather well off in the sense of a modern family with that wizarding twist. While Hogwarts would prove to be new and exciting experience, it would also be terrifying to join a society that he really didn't know much about yet. A whole new world awaits those that seek it.
