Physical Description: Megara’s hair ebbs and flows between various shades of brown throughout the seasons. During summer, she is closer to a blonde, but her hair deepens to a chocolate brown during the winter months. Her eyes are a piercing blue that often prove unnerving when they linger for too long. She is short for her family, measuring at 4 feet and 10 inches, but she’s been assured that she will hit a growth spurt soon.

Mental Description: Megara is a fiery cracker. She was once ridiculously spoiled, and now finds her self insanely jealous. She keeps to herself at school, and is a decent student, but she likes to cause as much chaos as possible at home. She often finds herself daydreaming, doodling, and writing in her diary.

Biography: She is the third of four daughters in her family. She spent half of her life being the baby, and she was well spoiled in that role. She was used to getting everything she wanted, whenever she wanted, until a new baby stole the title of ‘the youngest Archeron.’ Ever since her mother announced her fourth pregnancy, the unwavering attention once dedicated to Megara began to wane. Once her sister became a physical being in the world, all eyes were on her every waking minute. Jealousy took root in Megara the day her sister was born and continued to grow like the disease it was. At six years old, it was reasonable that Megara couldn’t understand the shift of her family’s attention, but now that she is ready to start her Hogwarts journey, her jealousy has become unreasonable. She has been able to contain herself during school, for the most part. She usually kept to herself and made perfect marks without trying. Home was a different story, however. She would act out whenever possible. Her older sisters spent most of the year at Hogwarts, so her youngest sister was often the victim of her outbursts. It was easy to blame things on her due to her age- muddy bootprints on the carpet, containers spilling their contents all over the kitchen, wands hidden in mysterious places. As she began to grow closer to that magical age of eleven, it became more difficult to blame true accidents on her sister. She often found herself wandering the home, thinking of a way to disrupt the house for the day, and find the objects she pondered destroying tipping over or shattering on their own accord. By the time this summer rolled around, it was of no surprise to anyone that she received her Hogwarts acceptance.

Megara was able to experience a brief moment of happiness when that letter arrived. All eyes were on her as she retrieved the envelope from the owl’s beak and pulled back the wax seal. Her parents shouted encouragement, and everybody took turns giving her a hug and congratulations. The next morning, things shifted back to normal, and Megara went about her day mostly unnoticed. Only Megara seemed to noticed the momentary shift of balance. She had felt the rush of adrenaline at finally experiencing the attention she had so desperately craved. She knew that this was only the start of reclaiming her stake as the prized Archeron.

First Instance of Magic: Megara’s first spurt of accidental magic happened sometime between the ages of 7 and 8, on the day of her sister’s first birthday. Megara’s birthday that year had been the least special one thrown for her. She was used to extravagant parties, with piles of treats and presents. Her 7th birthday was no different from the ones she had seen thrown for her older sisters- a plain cake and three presents. Her younger sister’s first birthday party had been more extravagant than all of Megara’s birthdays combined. When she arrived home from school that day, she felt rage like no other. All of the lightbulbs in the living room had burnt out, as if a fuse had blown. The lights in every other room remained lit, and the lamps in the living room were remedied with new bulbs. That night sparked the first of many conversations between Megara and her parents about controlling her anger.
