Throughout most of her life, Thalia felt like a puzzle piece that didn't exactly fit. Growing up in her family's townhouse in Lambeth, Thalia's father was constantly busy chasing rogue wizards to pay her any sort of attention and her mother's goal to be a successful journalist always seemed to outweigh any time she could spend with Thalia. Thus, Thalia was raised by a carousel of nannies that drifted in and out of her life due to her sudden outbursts and tantrums.
Thalia's tantrums and outbursts were the results of a feeling of detachment from her parents, and in a way, she was constantly hoping to gain a little bit of attention from them, even if it was for a negative reason. These tantrums soon came to an end though, because Thalia had a new problem enter her life at the age of five. A new little brother named Felix.
Overcome with the realization that she had been absent for most of her daughter's life, Thalia's mother decided to quit her job as a journalist with the Ministry and decided to become a stay-at-home mom to care for both of her children, much to her husband's displeasure.
Thalia however did not view this as a good thing, rather she viewed it as a competition between Felix and herself for their mother's attention.
To others it might have been seen as futile to compete with a baby, but not to Thalia. In her mind, she deserved to be the one who got all the attention, not some random baby who was just born, so she came up with a new plan. She was going to be better than Felix in everything.
Did she need to be cuter than him? Nothing a doting 'I Love You' to mommy won't fix. Did she need to be the quietest? Ok, she can go read by herself. Did she need to be helpful? That's fine, she can help clean.
However, it turns out her attempts were futile, Felix always needed more attention, more love than her.
As Thalia and Felix grew older, Thalia grew more and more competitive, just grasping at any tangible proof that her mom loved her as much as her brother or that her father even remembered her existence. But the more and more she competed, the more tired she became, growing to resent her younger, perfect brother, even though he lovingly doted on her.
Now as she enters Hogwarts, Thalia wants is to prove herself to her parents and show them that she is worthy of their attention, but most of all she wants to be able to express herself and the compassion that she holds in her heart that she never got to express, not only towards her parents but most of all to her little brother.

Thalia Gale has always looked older than her age. It wasn't just her accelerated height at 4'11 or her lanky appearance, rather it was in her face. Her piercing blue eyes seemed tired; her eyebrows almost always furrowed. Her hair was long and the color of ink, but it was always slightly unkempt. Her lips were large and a shade of rosy pink, but her mouth was usually silent, and her nose was soft, fragile even. However, she had a shade of youthful freckles across her pale face that lightened up her serious expression that indicated that maybe there was a youthful playfulness to her.

Driven by a desire to be the best, to say that Thalia is ambitious is an understatement. As a result, she's quiet, calculated even. Thalia is a "think first, act later" kind of person unless it comes to getting an extra leg up, then she results to more spontaneous actions. However, Thalia has grown tired of this mentality, she's burnt out. More than anything, Thalia just wants a chance to express herself and her compassion

Enora Gale (née Gamp): Distantly related to the first Minister of Magic, Enora Gale is no stranger to the pressure of pure-blood society. After growing up attending pure-blood balls, Enora is rooted in etiquette and tradition. While attending Hogwarts, Enora became Ravenclaw House Prefect and later, Headgirl. After graduation, she became a journalist for the Ministry of Magic in The Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes where she met her husband and father of her children, Hollis Gale. After marriage and the birth of Thalia, Enora became consumed in work, feeling the need to live up to her family name. After all, Thalia was young, she wouldn't remember her being gone. Then, almost suddenly after the birth of her son Felix, Enora was consumed with guilt. Upon realizing all of the memories that she had missed out on with Thalia, Enora quit her job and became a stay-at-home mom to better attend to her two children.
Hollis Gale: Son of a renowned Auror, Hollis did not doubt in his mind that he 100% wanted to become an Auror when he grew up. Growing up as the only son of a rich pure-blood family, Hollis grew up spoiled. During his time at Hogwarts, Hollis played Quidditch for Gryffindor on his brand-new broom and gear with little to no regard for his opponent's safety. To say he was competitive was an understatement. After graduating from Hogwarts, Hollis became an Auror, working in The Wanted Witches and Wizard's Division. The danger and adrenaline grew to consume him, rather it became his life. After the birth of his two children, Hollis never took the time to slow down and develop any guilt for missing out on his children's lives, instead, he threw himself deeper into work.
Felix Gale: As the youngest in the family, Felix is spoiled, to say the least. Felix is very sensitive and shy for his age, and he would much rather spend his time at home than go to a park. Nevertheless, he has 'baby' privilege, despite the fact he is only six years younger than Thalia.

Marie 'Grandma' Gamp: Thalia's grandmother on her mother's side. Lives in Perth, Scotland alone with her charmed embroidery needles.
Charles 'Grandpap' Gale: Thalia's grandfather on her father's side. Used to be a renowned Auror but now he mostly talks nonsense due to taking too many spells to the head. Lives in London with his wife Diana.
Diana 'Granny' Gale: Thalia's grandmother on her father's side. Lives in London and takes care of her husband Charles.
Perry Gale: Thalia's uncle and her dad's older brother. Lives in Bristol with his wife Alice and son Sterling. Works as a curse breaker with the Ministry of Magic.

April 20th, 2021: Thalia's Point of ViewThe firm grip of annoyance clawed at my chest, inching its way up my throat. Once again, Felix had gotten away with messing up my doll house. Disheveling my doll's hair, throwing away their shoes awry, destroying their furniture, the works.
I stomped my way up the stairs, letting out a groan of annoyance, hoping Mother would hear me. What am I kidding? She never listened.
Moving slow as syrup I sulked my way to the second floor, my head held low. In a flash, my demeanor changed.
A thin stream of sunlight peaked out from my room from a cracked open door. "That's strange" I thought, easing over to my bedroom door "I thought I closed my door."
I wish I had never opened my door.
Upon entering my room, I observed Felix gleefully rummaging through my wardrobe. The winter scarfs and coats now lined my floor, my stockings were now torn, and different trousers were scattered across my bed.
In an instant, the annoyance I felt while tromping up the stairs turned to anger, red hot anger. I didn't know how to react. Tears filled my eyes. My ears were roaring. My head was pounding. Then I let out a scream. A powerful scream.
It took me a moment to realize what I had done. One moment, my wardrobe was standing, propped against my wall, now it was levitating in the air.
Felix and I were frozen in place, observing the levitation wardrobe. Fearfully, I gasped, dropping the wardrobe in the process, terrified of my own actions, but mostly terrified of the thought that I knew my mother was going to be happy that I had shown my first instance of magic.
