Cynthia was born to parents Colby and Edwina Seawright (her Father being a Pureblood, and her Mother a Halfblood). She was born on the 13th of June in London, which is where she spent the entirety of her childhood.
When she was but a couple months old, the area of London in which Cynthia's family lived was attacked by a group of Dark Wizards, who were intent upon causing chaos. Her parents, who didn't want any deaths to occur, decided to protect the Muggles, and therefore joined the fight. Before they helped, though, Edwina quickly apparated to a park on the other side of the city, leaving Cynthia on a nearby bench, under a multitude of protective charms. Edwina didn't want her baby girl to be hurt, after all.
Colby and Edwina fought valiantly, but, due to the fact that they were severely outnumbered, they eventually perished in battle.
Cynthia was found by a young muggle woman walking her dog in the early hours of the morning, who promptly called the authorities. Cynthia was taken to a Muggle Orphanage, too young to even remember her parents clearly.
There she grew up, never knowing she was a Witch. The other children never really approached her, finding her too strange and antisocial, and, due to this, Cynthia never had a single friend. She never really cared though, as she found the rest of the orphans rather annoying, always throwing tantrums and whining about this and that. They would sometimes taunt her, but upon getting no reaction from the creepy, poker-faced girl, they eventually got bored and all learnt to leave her alone.
Cynthia used the solitude to her advantage, going to the library not far from the Orphanage every day after school to get away from the rest of the orphans. The Matrons never really minded, knowing she was capable enough to take care of herself for a couple hours.
As a result of her extensive time spent in the library, Cynthia's vocabulary improved at a much quicker rate than the rest of her peers', and she became quite adept at deciphering more complicated literature.

When first meeting Cynthia, people usually find her to be a rather quiet and well-mannered girl. She can come across as rather reserved and sometimes even cold, a fact which sometimes tends to put others off.
In reality, she just doesn't know how to deal with people very well, and thus acts aloof in the hopes of scaring them away.
Upon getting to know her, you will likely realise that Cynthia is extremely sarcastic, and can be extremely talkative when she finds a subject interesting. She has a rather dark and dry sense of humour, and finds it easy to make people laugh.
Cynthia is highly motivated, especially when schoolwork is concerned. She strives to be the top of her class, and will use every resource she can get to reach her goals. She spends a large amount of time in the library, perfecting her essays and finding spells and facts which she thinks may be of use in the future.
Despite generally keeping good control of her emotions, Cynthia has a rather foul temper, and gets angry rather easily. If you are somebody she is familiar with and comfortable around, she will argue with you quite heatedly if you manage to anger her. On the other hand, if she doesn't know you very well, Cynthia will likely just glare at you murderously whilst quietly plotting your death (or humiliation).
Despite how she presents herself, Cynthia can be rather easy to fluster (a fact which she vehemently denies), and gets extremely embarrassed when complimented.

She has long, dark brown hair which becomes wavier near the ends, and large, slightly unnerving forest-green eyes. Her eyebrows are well-defined (but usually hide behind her fringe), and her forehead is slightly large. Cynthia is quite skinny, with a rather frail frame, causing her to be physically weak. Her skin is fairly pale in the winter, but gains colour when the weather's warmer. She sometimes has dark circles under her eyes due to not getting enough sleep at night, too engrossed in her favourite books.
