Jaden is actually a half-blood, not a wizard-born!

I'm sorry, I mixed up the blood statuses! I also edited the instance of magic. Hopefully it fits!

Physical Description:
Jaden is a shorter person with blond hair as soft as a sun-warmed blanket trickling down past her shoulders and blue eyes like the stones beneath a very clear, blue creek. Baby fat, supported by her smaller nose, give her face a youthful appearance, even for one who is in fact a child. It isn't rare for her to be mistaken for just a few years younger than she is.

Conversely, her body does tend to contradict this apparent youth with its own signs of growth: a bit of acne in the winter, and the awkward clumsiness that comes with this aging as she adjusts to her longer arms and stronger legs.

Her wardrobe almost entirely consists of skirts and dresses, though she doesn't usually wear them with a smile. She much prefers jeans, shorts, and t-shirts when she can get her hands on them.

Her posture is straight, but not unnaturally so. Years of being lightly lectured on her posture have trained her to generally keep her shoulders back and chest out, but never to the point of balancing books on her head or other excessive training.

Mental Description:

Even when she knows what to say, Jaden struggles with finding the words she wants in any given moment. She often trips over long descriptions and sentences as she searches for the perfect word to sum up what she wants to say. In her mind, it's a race for vocabulary, but in actuality she usually just clams up and stops talking.

She isn't necessarily shy or self-conscious despite her problem with words. She loves being around new people and old friends alike. She isn't even the quiet type around them, it just sometimes takes her a moment to get her ideas across. As a result, she has become quite a decent listener.

Her word problem is decently remedied around small animals like squirrels, rabbits, or hamsters. Since they can't understand her anyway, it's much easier to get her ideas across to them with a simple petting or cuddling session.

She carries herself in a very dignified, lady-like way, but it annoys her relentlessly. She hates being expected to act and behave in a certain way just because she's a girl. She hates that, in her household, expectations dictate that she must behave, never get filthy, wear dresses and skirts, and never roughhouse.

Because of these perceived expectations, she has a tendency to break rules by sneaking out and doing all of the things she isn't supposed to do. She plays in the mud, splashes in the rain at night, and even wrestles with her cousins when no one's around.

Biography:

Jaden's mum is a witch, but her dad is actually just an ordinary muggle. Luckily, this has meant she's had a decently well-rounded education regarding magic and the muggle world. She knows magic exists, but muggle innovations don't go entirely over her head.

Despite having a witch for a mother, her life was actually more fitting for a muggle than for a child of a magical family. She went to muggle school, played with muggle children, and even grew up in a mostly muggle home. Other than the occasional bit of potion-making or mending charm, the Harrison home was mostly just an ordinary home.

During the day, she studied at her muggle school, learning about all of the maths and sciences she would normally be expected to need in life. During the night, however, her mum would tell her stories about her own youth as an apprentice magizoologist fresh out of school. While she didn't get to actually learn magic, Jaden was happy to hear about it from her mum.

First Instance of Magic:

Jaden was a bit of a late bloomer in regard to her first instance of magic. As she got closer and closer to her tenth birthday, her mum began to think she was never going to show signs of her magical heritage. It wasn't a problem since both parents would love her either way, but as Jaden realized just how late it was getting, she started to worry.

She'd wanted to learn magic like her mum. She'd wanted to make cool, colorful potions. She'd wanted to encounter a bowtruckle and whatever the other strange animals her mum had mentioned were called.

As her tenth birthday passed, Jaden began to lose hope. She was going to be a muggle forever, she just knew it.

Then, one day, when she was playing with her friends, she slipped and fell into a mud puddle, being covered from head to toe in the disgusting substance. Panicked at her disgusting appearance, she was afraid that her parents would be furious that she'd ruined the new dress they'd bought her. In a fearful haze she ran home crying, trying to wipe the mud from her eyes as best she could but it was everywhere. Her only hope was to try to sneak in and have a shower before they noticed.

When she got home, her dad's car was unfortunately parked right outside. That meant sneaking would be next to impossible given the location of her dad's "office" in the house. She just had to own up to it.

As she sobbed even harder just outside the door, a strange sensation came over her, followed by an even stranger scent.

It was soap. Sudsy, clean, scented soap. The mud was all gone, and in its place was a huge mass of soapy bubbles coating her from head to toe and sliding down onto the ground at her feet. Not only was she clean, as she'd so desperately wished to be, but the soap was rolling off of her like sweat on a sunny day.

Forgetting her fear of punishment for a moment, Jaden ran into the house shouting for her parents. This was it! She was finally a proper witch, as far as her young mind could tell! Unfortunately, the only parent at home was her muggle dad, and he had no clue how to handle a magical child.

Even as the girl continued shedding soap like stray hairs on a small dog, with her dad mopping the floor around her as best he could while he waited for her mum to get home and deal with the situation, she smiled and happily talked about magic, and spells, and all the things she would hopefully get to learn in the future.
