Physical Description:
Althea has a heart shaped face framed with long straight black hair. She typically sweeps her hair over one shoulder to emphasize her ear jewelry. Her eyes are monolids with black irises. She has a long narrow nose, high cheekbones, small reddish lips, and tanned skin. With a slender build, she stands at 5ft.

Mental Description:
Althea’s mood can be affected by the weather. On rainy days she feels somber but serene when sunshine is plentiful. Her sibling would describe her as thoughtful, collected and observant. Indeed, Althea prefers to sit back and observe her surroundings and people. She finds that she can learn a lot about someone simply through their facial expressions and body cues. However, don’t let her calculating demeanour fool you. She enjoys listening to others’ aspirations and passions. She often seeks conversations with people who are specialists in their field since she finds their competence inspiring.

Althea is naturally caring and protective toward her friends. She even neglects her responsibilities if they require her assistance. When she feels comfortable with others, she will incessantly ask questions that will feed her curiosity. Due to her distant relationship with her parents and strict upbringing she struggles to verbally express heartfelt emotions like gratitude and appreciation. Even though she strongly feels them internally. She makes up for it with small but frequent acts of service like making test notes for her friends or saving them dinner if they’re running late.

Biography:
Althea was born on November 22 to a Pure Blood family. She is highly fond of her little sister, Aster, aged seven. When their parents aren’t looking, Althea likes to sneak sweets to her sister purely for the delight that shines on her little sister’s face. Her family resides in Cambridge in the quiet countryside but close enough to a muggle county. Her tutor sometimes takes Althea on trips to the county when her parents are away at work. It was on these trips that Althea grew fascinated by idyllic muggle life. She also had minimal exposure to other wizard kids, so these trips allowed her to satisfy her social needs. She did so by observing muggles at cafes, the market or the park and eventually striking up conversations. However, these trips stayed a secret between Althea and her tutor as her parents would be quite upset at the idea. Her parents tolerate muggles but dissuade contact with them, much to Althea’s disappointment. Therefore, the day she received her letter gave her excitement and relief. It was a chance to break free from the solitude of her home.

First Instance of Magic:
When Althea was four, her parents told her that they hired a tutor to prepare her for Hogwarts. However, this additional help meant that her parents had extra time to pick up shifts at work. While her parents explained the situation to her, a mixture of sadness and fear brewed in her heart. What if her parents forget about her? What if the tutor will be mean? Althea was too busy focusing on these racing thoughts to hear the gasps her parents let out. She snapped back to reality and realized that the white dress she was wearing suddenly changed into black.
