Physical Description:
Marek is a young lad with glowing jade eyes, which are complimented by his short, brown, earthy hair. His skin is light, but it is not particularly luminous nor porcelain-like. It is quite the contrary, his complexion has a firmness to it, which perfectly compliments his brash personality, which clashes with the bright, viridescent eyes he has. Marek's clothing is very simplistic, he doesn't like to stand out too much. His favourite choice of clothing is very loose-fitting, this can range from hoodies, to baggy pants, and his shoes are typically trainers. This, however, is not meant to be telling of his fashion sense; he just wears what is comfortable and convenient. If he wanted to, he could put the effort into what he wears.

Mental Description:
Marek is a boy who is not necessarily antisocial, he is able to hold conversations and get on with others just fine. His sense of humour consists of sarcasm or teasing with people he knows. However, he does not take too kindly to people who blatantly disrespect him or others that he is well acquainted with; he is defensive and can be made out as rough around the edges. This is likely because of the lifestyle he had in his muggle school that he was enrolled into in England by his mother. On the other hand, anyone who has gotten to know him could confidently say that when he is around, nothing gets dull. Unfortunately, Marek is not the brightest when it comes to learning new things; he prefers to get a hands-on approach on a lot of subjects, which means topics that always involved theory or excessive note taking would leave him stumbled. Even so, he still tries his best- he does not like to quit. Ironically, his determination does not make him competitive, he minds his own business. Additionally, Marek is physically active, he enjoys sport because of the adrenaline he gains from it. This is also why he has gotten along with a lot of the guys in his school, because he did what everyone else did. This can explain why he does not enjoy standing out- he is used to it, but he accepts the fact that others present themselves differently.

His main hobbies include sports, particularly football and basketball in his Muggle school, crafting little trinkets from scrap and music. His family, since his childhood, always had boxes of scrap and when they took notice of it, they taught him how to make use of everything that is available to him. While he fidgeted with some of the items, he enjoyed listening to music which later became an important part of his life as it helped him calm down. As a final note, he has stayed completely loyal to the friends he has made. Outsiders to his group would assume he just does it because he wants something from them, but Marek is genuine.

Biography:
Marek originally is not from England. He migrated from Poland to England at 6 years old. He is very much still in touch with his culture, but has adapted over the years to the English customs. His favourite custom that he adopted that was not as common in Poland was actually saying 'thank you' after getting off the bus. He made Reading his long-term residence. His family always consisted of just him, his father and his mother. Marek is a half-blood, with his father being a pure blood wizard working as an Author and his mother being a Muggle working as a mechanic. Back when he still lived in Poland, specifically Poznan, his father didn't teach him much about the wizarding world, but instead referenced it on the side, and told Marek some fascinating stories. One of Marek's favourites was when his father told him about how a large amount of Doxy's swarmed over his school. Though no one was bitten or hurt, Marek's father still remembers the large, shadowy and fluid shape the swarm made. He speculates that they were just transitioning to a different region of Poland as they prefer colder weathers.

After Marek migrated to England, he made a few friends due to his shared interests in sport, and never mentioned the things his father has told him (as per the rules). In school, he was his usual sarcastic and authentic self, and at home he was supporting his family with household tasks. Marek's life overall has been pretty average, as you'd expect from a Muggle lifestyle. However, his mundane life was still made exciting whenever his father told him stories of magical creatures and his school life. Outside of that, he helped his mother a lot with cooking and cleaning which made his parents proud knowing that their son would continue to grow into a helpful, supportive individual.

By his 8th birthday he began to enjoy playing with scrap and learning how to build and create. This further extended to some of his subjects, such as chemistry and physics, where he did better in the practical lessons than others. This, however, didn't improve his ability to make notes on other subjects. Fortunately for him, his personality, character and skills are what have made him capable of handling difficult situations, and his parents' supportive upbringing brought him to where he is today.

First Instance of Magic:
A few weeks after his 10th birthday, Marek was handed more scrap from his parents' jobs. His father handed him a few pens and pencils he never used so Marek could finally start planning and sketching his designs for his scrap creations, and his mother handed him a crate filled with metal and wooden scrap that Marek could use how he liked. On his birthday he also got some headphones (that he was pretty fussy about not being able to bring into the school), and he decided to use them in his room while messing around with the spoils his parents brought home at the time. While scribbling away and sorting some of the scrap, he blew away some pencil shavings off his desk that were originally on his sketch that was not that impressive, which suddenly caused the entire drawing to disappear. It should be noted he did not have an eraser. When he lifted the paper, the entire sketch ended up being engraved onto his desk, as if someone with a sharp object carved it into the wood. Marek was so taken aback by the spontaneous event that he didn't realise the pencil shavings were gone too. That was until he realised the pencil he was using was almost as good as new, as if he never even sharpened it. Since Marek has always valued convenience, he ran straight downstairs to his father and told him everything.
