Physical Description: Tall for her age, a trait accentuated by a slender physique, Jae measures exactly 151cm at the start of her first year at Hogwarts. She wears her wavy, blonde hair in either a low ponytail or down past her shoulders. The most distinctive features of her heart shaped face are deep set, grey-green eyes under a pair of low, thin eyebrows. Lips are wide and rather dark despite the girl’s overall pale complexion and her slightly upturned nose is covered with a few lightly coloured (and lemon-juice bleached) freckles. An undesirable trait that Jae's mother is unwilling to remove with magic despite the girls’ frequent requests.

Mental Description: Free-spirited, outdoorsy and amiable, Jae nevertheless possesses a willful side and slight disregard for authority. She means well, but will follow her own judgement and ultimately do what she things is best even if she initially intends to follow rules. She excels at tasks that require creativity, instinct and intuition and is easily bored by rigid and technical subjects that require discipline. She possesses an unquenched fascination with water creatures and her secret wish is to one day explore the depths of the Hogwart's lake. Jae does not hate or scorn muggle-born wizards but is nevertheless a bit prejudiced against them, believing them to not be as talented as their wizard-born counterparts. She's unwilling to change her beliefs on a whim.

Biography: Jae is a sister to a five year old boy called Benjamin and both of her parents are wizards. Her dad Robert procures potion ingredients from wild plants and beasts or as his children like to think – is an adventurer and an avid fan of Newt Scamander. He’s highly regarded by Jae, who values their time together because of his travels and often dangerous work. Mom Melissa has a decidedly less exciting profession as a registered potions maker, supplying local apothecaries with her handicrafts which also allows her to care for both children. Her other strength is in astronomy and she likes to create horoscopes for the entire family at the beginning of every quarter – Jae is expecting to receive them by owl post while staying in Hogwarts. Both her and Benjamin are discouraged from contacting local muggles so they spend the majority of their time in their own company, learning skills needed to attend Hogwarts or observing their mother at work. Being outdoorsy, Jae often seeks adventures far from home, imaging herself as her father's aide, collecting herbs and leaves. On occasion she comes across strangely dressed muggle children and observes them from afar for a while before returning home. Instinct tells her they're trouble and she's inclined to comply with her mother's wishes...

First Instance of Magic: Jae received her first baby broom at the age of five and despite her great efforts and desire to be good at flying… and despite the broom’s inbuilt safety measures, she somehow managed to overcome them with her lack of talent and cause an accident. That’s when her magic showed itself for the first time, saving her from a head-on collision with the wall. She hung in front of it for a few seconds, amazed by her feat… then fell one meter to the ground,
landing gracelessly on her bottom.
