[Just a note, replies will be slightly slow on my end. I apologize, but unfortunately my schedule only allows for one or two free days per week for writing.]

Physical Description:

Adeline has a very plain appearance. Anything different was met with a stern bit of disapproval from her very strict parents. Her long brown hair is usually perfectly straight, but it is not at all rare to find it laboriously manipulated into whatever elegant hairstyle her mother insisted on at the time.

Her blue eyes have a tendency to explore every room she enters. She doesn't normally speak out about happenings around her, but her innate curiosity has a constant hold on her eyes, forcing them to explore the world around her. The only thing that can halt her wandering eyes is a stern word from either of her parents, whom she respects and fears in equal measure.

Mental Description:

Adeline prefers a nickname: Addie. She loves the sense of familiarity that comes along with it. Even as she introduces herself as "Addie" to her peers, however, she introduces herself much differently in more formal situations.

"Hello. I am Adeline Wasserstein von Sternensehen-Müssinger II. I am pleased to meet you," she says, but even though the words fly from her tongue in a practiced manner, it leaves an unpleasant feeling in her belly. She much prefers the more casual greeting of, "Hi. I'm Addie."

Despite coming from a decently prestigious family, Addie is allowed some small amount of rebellion by her strict parents. They allow her to choose her own extra-curricular activities, within reason. They're aware that forcing her to follow along in their footsteps entirely and tightening the leash would only push her further into rebellion, so she has settled into a decent mutual understanding with her parents: she performs adequately in school, and they allow her to follow her own passions outside of class, if her actions reflect well on the family.

During time away from school, she is often found amongst muggles, roller-skating, playing on muggle playgrounds, or even playing a bit of football. She isn't as good as the muggle who can practice year-round, but she has fun with it.

When the weather doesn't permit outdoor activities, or when she's feeling a bit lazy, she loves to curl up with a book. She particularly loves muggle fantasy books and mythology books. She enjoys comparing actual history as she knows from her life in a pureblood family with the muggle speculations and theories.

Regardless of what she's doing, there is usually a fond smile on Addie's mouth.

Biography:

Adeline comes from a fairly wealthy German family.

Old family stories told by her parents insist that their family line descends from Siegfried of the Nibelungenlied and that his exploits are even the source of the wealth, but Addie doesn't necessarily believe such rumors. She thinks her parents are simply too self-important with such insistences

Regardless of her thoughts on the matter, Addie has been raised in luxury. Rarely did she have to lift a single finger, for there were always servants at her beck and call. It was rather frustrating, having to sneak around to gain even the smallest amount of independence.

Most of her friends, if one could refer to them as such, were from similar circles, but their opinions on their luxurious lives differed from her own. While she detested being treated as an important lady around whom the world revolved, her "friends" reveled in it.

It was at Addie's insistence that she be allowed to live in England and attend Hogwarts. Her argument that the great Harry Potter had attended the school had convinced her parents, but in truth, she hoped the distance from her parents would allow some separation from the lifestyle she'd enjoyed until then. Perhaps even some anonymity. And besides, she'd argued, hadn't she already received a letter of admission? There was little reason not to attend.

First Instance of Magic:

Addie's first instance of accidental magic was actual during a tantrum during a visit to her cousin's home in England at the age of seven. She'd brought her muggle football along, insisting on a game with her cousin, but the older girl refused to take part in a muggle sport. In frustration, Addie began to kick the ball around alone. As she grumbled, a particularly angry kick sent the ball flying far more than her tiny legs should have been capable of sending it.

Her parents, who'd witnessed the whole thing, knew instantly what had happened. Her expression of magical potential was met with neutrality. It wasn't exactly unexpected that she would be capable of magic, after all, and this display happened early enough in her life that it wasn't worryingly late.

Still, that night was the first night that Addie dreamed of wands and brooms that belonged to her, instead of her family.
