Mental Description: She is a friendly girl, but always takes a while to open up to strangers. If you don't know Lauren, she can make a closed, slightly arrogant impression. However, you should not underestimate her, because Lauren can quickly get angry and then takes quite a long time to calm down again.

Biography: Lauren Taylor grew up on a small farm near Edinburgh.
She lives there with her parents, her mother's father and her little brother.
Her mother, who is a Muggle, has a small book cafe in town. She grew up with her brother, three years younger, among many animals and farming. Mostly horses, as her mother breeds English thoroughbreds.
Her father is a wizard, but there is little or no magic at home. This is one of the reasons why she grew up like a normal muggle. Nevertheless, she had few friends at school, as she preferred to spend her time with her mother in the store or with the animals rather than with her peers.
In her free time, she liked to go out with her grandfather, or sit in her grandfather's rocking chair on the patio and read.

First Instance of Magic: She was helping her grandfather in the stable and was supposed to lift the heavy saddles off the top rack. She had to stand on a stool to reach them, and even with that she could only get her fingertips on the one saddle. She was about to pull on a strap when she lost her balance and toppled backwards off the stool. The saddle followed her, but didn't hit the ground, instead hovering a few inches off the ground. At least for a few seconds before it slowly hit the ground.
At that moment Lauren had forgotten what she was supposed to do and ran to her father's house to tell him about it.
