Physical Description: A swarthy lad with thick, disheveled dark hair and avoidant dark eyes. He is currently of below-average height and weight. In Muggle context, he's wearing his best Muggle clothing (a black tee, a black tweed jacket and black jeans), but he can't wait to change into his school robes.

Mental Description: Edgar's social skills are unfortunately quite poor; he's got much more to learn at Hogwarts than magic alone. Diagnosed at a young age with a Reactive Affection Disorder, he also has a tendency to be revolted and violent - a very negative behavior that he never found reasons to control so far: his father is a kind but a somewhat passive entity in his education; his real mother is absent, while his stepmother merely procures him with the basic necessities - the inevitable consequences are that Edgar has been taught not to rely on anyone. But thankfully, things are about to change.

Biography: By a weird twist of fate, Edgar was born a half-blood in a household of pure-bloods. His father, Godric, an already mature pure-blood but impoverished member of the Wizengamot, had been blessed with his arrival after years of childless life with his wife Hilda, a wealthy pure-blood Squib who was intent on living among Muggles because of her inability. Unfortunately, Edgar isn't Hilda's son: he owes his existence to a short but intense relationship his father had with Asra, a Muggle immigrant from Iran. However, as the legitimate couple was childless, Hilda tolerated Edgar's presence in the family manor - even if she'd always refer to him as "the boy". Edgar's mother, on the other hand, was procured a small flat by Godric in a ghetto-like area in the suburbs. She refused to see her son soon after birth, ashamed to have given birth to a "bastard".

When Hilda became pregnant and gave birth to a sickly boy named Victor when Edgar was three years old, it changed everything: Hilda started rejecting Godric's eldest son. Edgar himself didn't help matters much by bullying little Victor every chance he got. Even his first years at the elementary school and Godric's poor attempts at peacemaking didn't ease the increasing tension.

Edgar was seven years old when Asra suddenly decided, out of the blue, to reclaim him as her son. Without telling Godric, she took him away to Iran. Godric would later find out that it had been Hilda who had talked her into it and who had procured them the passports as well as plane tickets. By the time he had managed to have them retraced them with the ministry's invaluable help, only Edgar returned home: Asra was deceased.

Edgar's behavior worsened from then on: he became an uncontrollable skiver, a bully, often threatened by Hilda to be carted off to St Brutus's Secure Centre for Incurably Criminal Boys. He started spending time in the streets, learning uncommendable things from boys older than him.

But here is one thing, just one thing, that sets things right for this otherwise perturbed lad: a drum set his father had given him on his third birthday. Whenever he plays the drums, Edgar is a totally different person; he feels normal, and the world starts to make sense.

First Instance of Magic: When he was nearly five years old, after Hilda had scolded him for having bullied his half-brother, angry little Edgar saw the batty woman's tight bun undo itself; her greying hair stood on end, charged with electric sparks that terrified her so much that she fainted.
