Physical Description: Edith stands at 147 cm/4'10" with a rather slender build but she's been pretty active for her entire childhood so it's hard to tell if she's starting to become muscular or is simply a skinny girl. She has long, wavy brown hair that reaches down to the bottom of her ribcage with some shorter pieces around her face from getting bangs a while back and not bothering to trim them back. She has a sort of warm olive tone to her skin and always enters the school year with rather tan skin from the summers she spends in Italy with her father's family which starts to fade as she spends the school year back home in England.

Mental Description: Edith could be considered rather stable as far as mental health was concerned. As she is entering her pre-teen years, she has some anxiety and traces of self doubt, especially about her magic and how she would handle going to school away from her family but she's been told it's perfectly normal for a girl her age and that it shouldn't pose too much of a problem for her. Of course, being told this doesn't help much but if her doctor and parents say it's nothing out of the ordinary then she's probably fine.

Biography: Born in Cambridge, England, Edith is the oldest of four children to a magical English mother and a non-magical Italian father. From a young age, Edith and her siblings were made known of their magical lineage but were never held to the expectation of becoming a witch or wizard to ensure that nobody felt left out or like a failure. Edith and her siblings were put into non-magical primary school but her mother was always sure not to keep them completely shut out of the wizarding world in case they turned out to be accepted into Hogwarts. They were taken to their grandparents quite often, surrounded by magic from a young age for most of her life other than the summers they would spend in Italy with her father's side of the family. She was rather active at her primary school, joining chess club and getting into gymnastics with some of her muggle classmates.

First Instance of Magic: The first time Edith did magic was when she was around six years old, playing around with her five year old brother in their grandparent's house. They had been kicking around a ball in the yard when her brother kicked it a little too hard and it was headed straight for her face. She let out a little yelp and braced herself for impact but it never came, the ball hovering in mid air, surrounded by glimmering traces of magic mere centimetres from her face. She opened her eyes to see the spectacle before the ball simply dropped into the grass with a thud. She and her brother stared at each other in disbelief for a few moments before rushing inside to excitedly tell their grandparents what happened.
