Physical Description: Maria has pale, red-tinted skin, long auburn hair, and large hazel eyes. At 11 years old, she stands at 5'0 (she began growing young and has yet to stop). As she isn't the type to engage in much physical activity, she is quite petit and somewhat lanky in form.
Mental Description: Maria is a very dedicated bibliophile. She considers herself very book-smart and much of her ego is centered around herself being very well educated and well spoken. However, she can be quick to anger and has a tendency to act irrationally when tempted.
Biography: Maria comes from a well-off pureblood family, but she will rarely ever admit that her family is rich. She was raised with private tutors pre-Hogwarts and taught to always sit, act, and speak poshly and politely. Her young life has been dominated with academia, but her father, whom she takes much after and is rather attached to, always gives her time away from her books to introduce her to the world of caring for magical creatures (this being both his career and hobby). He has always been the one to let her live like a carefree child every chance he can. Maria's mother, on the other hand, works for the Ministry of Magic and takes every aspect of her life with utmost seriousness. She was the one to decide how Maria would be raised and how strictly. Her mother and father often disagreed on this, which makes their marriage quite strained.
First Instance of Magic: The first time Maria accidentally used magic was at the age of seven. She'd always known magic existed, since she comes from a pureblood family, but felt her magic had come to her late. She was staying up late one night, reading by the light of a candle and found herself very invested in the story of a porcelain rabbit. Driven by the intensity of it all, she unintentionally used her mind and newly developed magical abilities to turn the page without even touching it.
