Physical Description:
Her hair is a dark brown with brighter streaks of sun kissed golden flowing through it. It is usually braided or put off of her face, and it is shoulder length. Her cheeks have one dimple, this is on the left side. A soft mole sits on her other completely unblemished skin. her eyes are friendly but the shape of them is downturned, giving her a slightly sad puppy look, which she can turn on to seem unassuming. You would often see her in bright colors of yellow, green, and blue. Her hands are slightly rough due to working in the gardens with her father. Short for her age, usually the smallest among her peers.
She is a mostly happy 11 year old, but she feels her opens very deeply, and is known to get extreme in the faces of anger, sadness, or rejection. Everything Arcadia feels, she feels completely, which can lead to a child that cries often and broods often. Other than that, Arcadia is a bubbly child, always looking to make friends, and showing signs of being a people pleaser. Can also be mischievous and cunning, and will lie and blame things on other children if she can get away with it. Constantly analyzing other children and adults for the best way to get on their good side.
Arcadia grew up constantly outside with her father, who is to be considered her primary care giver. Her mother is from Loughton, England, while her father is from the sticks of Alabama. Arcadia spent summers in Alabama, working on the outside and inside of the estate that they owned. She was born on an extremely hot summer day, during the afternoon hours, completely healthy. She almost never gets sick. Both of her parents are muggles who were very understanding when Arcadia got her letter, assuming something was different about her, but don't completely understand what is happening. They offer support, but Arcadia's mother is very skeptical and wary of the new world her daughter is being brought in. She was a gifted reader, but was just shy of making the gifted program. She excels in anything she can see or hear over and over, and is prone to remember things almost exactly as they happened. She is also known to repeat what she hears, to herself or others. Arcadia is an only child, as her mother was pregnant many times before her, but none were successful for many reasons. Longs for intense friendship connections, and to belong.
Arcadia's first instance of accidental magic was in a fit of sadness. A old oak tree in the summer home in the states was dying, a red oak. Arcadia was heartbroken at this, and when her father tried to cut the tree down, to end it’s misery, she accidentally changed the shape of the chainsaw into a large mass of flowers.
