Physical Description: Efelion is just over 4 feet and 9 inches, taller for his age but no unheard of, his hair is brown and often quite messy naturally however his mother has always made him comb it straight and also cut it shorter than he would like. Efelion has always preferred longer hair than short. His eyes are hazel mixed with a hint of green the hazel from his mother's side and the green from his father's.

Usually, Efelion can be found with some scrapes, cuts or bruises on his body from learning to skateboard before going to Hogwarts. He would never ask for anyone to heal the wounds because they do not debilitate him in any way. Efelion often keeps them as memories of mistakes he has made so he can remember to do better next time. This also includes a scar on his back shoulder blade when he connected with a ledge while falling off his board one time.

Efelion on a normal day when not having to wear robes is usually dressed in more comfortable clothing, a baggy shirt normally very colorful with some sort of graphic on it whether that be a weird abstract piece of art or a record label on it, his pants are normally extra baggy jeans he bought when he was learning to skateboard before he attended Hogwarts. He often sports just generic canvas shoes or leather high tops for walking around as he finds them most comfortable to wear.

Mental Description: Efelion has always been a very extroverted and carefree person, his love of knowledge and exploration includes that of people. Although this is the case he often finds it hard to meet new people as he gets overly anxious when first meeting people however once he gets to know them he is quite relaxed. It is usually just the initial meeting that makes him feel kind of awkward as he is not sure what to really say or do and to some, he may come off as shy even though he is extremely outgoing with people that he knows.

Efelion loves knowledge and engages with people quite often on the what ifs and buts of the wizarding world as he tries to get to the bottom of everything. Often some of the few friends he had made before Hogwarts have found this a bit draining as often they just want to talk about quidditch teams and other things. His parents are normally pretty engaging however and have always answered his questions when he has asked once he has read a book or seen something he was unsure of.

Efelion tends to be polite however he is rather informal most of the time as he sees formality usually just being extra steps for no real reason. In saying this he does try and pronounce things properly as he believes a good vocabulary makes communication easier as he had found explaining things to be hard or having things explained to him to be even harder if he did not understand what the person meant. It is something he is commonly working on and always trying to be better at.

Efelion has two comfortable places to be, that is either out and about exploring places when his parents decide to actually leave the house or in front of a fireplace with a book and a warm drink when he is indoors, his parents had even built a special spot for him by the fireplace as they had found him there so often. Efelion often reads books that he thinks will help him become an Auror one day as it’s his dream job and so most of the time those books are quite large and take a long time to read through.

Efelion is always open to accepting his faults as he knows that if he doesn’t then he will never be able to be better. He once read in a book that “A wizard that is perfect will stagnate and be overtaken by an even more perfect wizard.” which has stuck with him since he read it. Efelion strives to be the best but does not want to do so alone but instead would rather learn with others and face friendly competition to better himself. He believes that co-operation and friendship will help as a means to reach that end goal of his.

Biography: Efelion's life was very normal, at least to him, his mother worked in the department of ministry as a paper pusher, and she often would be busy with work even at home where she would sit and do paperwork even at the dinner table. Efelion's father Tafcor Berrendow studied herbology mostly, always looking at new plants and trying to find new uses for them. There would be times when the family would take trips for a vacation that often just turned into his mother taking paperwork and his father looking for new plants.

On the trips Efelion was allowed to explore to an extent, they always had a rule that if he couldn't hear them yell that he would have to return the way he came, every thirty minutes either he or his parents would yell to test the distance he was at. Efelion never second guessed it and enjoyed the freedom as he loved to explore just as much as he liked to read, to him it was all learning. Efelion was even taken to Quidditch games by his parents sometimes, He never believed he would play the sport but he enjoyed watching it.

Efelion’s only love for the sport was that of skateboarding, but not for the reasons most people would think. Efelion had a rare opportunity to visit the muggle world with his family one time as they wanted to go on a vacation away from their work for once, instead of just staying within areas that their work would still find them easily. As they traveled Efelion happened to see someone using a skateboard and thought to himself it was interesting how the person was able to get the board to go upwards with just their feet. Efelion begged and begged his parents for one and they didn’t understand for the longest time. One day they caved in hoping it would keep him out of their hair while they worked.

His mother took him to a store in the muggle world where he bought a board and also some clothes that were more comfortable to wear whilst riding. Efelion started practicing straight away, trying to learn things in their backyard. Every now and again he convinced his parents to allow him to go and watch people at the skateparks in the muggle world so he could try and understand new tricks. To him, every trick was a puzzle and he wanted to solve them all.

His parents were often worried that their son would be so invested in a plank of wood but they saw no harm in it as he kept up his reading and studies as well. They were just happy to finally have him stop pestering them as much for books. As long as he kept quiet and did his research his family didn’t really mind all that much.

When the time came for Efelion to go to Hogwarts his parents were so proud of him, they took him shopping for all his things and talked to him about how much he was going to love it. Efelion was indeed excited, a space to learn more about the wonderful world they lived in. It was just a disappointment that he wasn’t able to take his favorite board with him but he knew he would be back on it in the holidays.
First Instance of Magic: Efelion's first use of magic was on a camping trip when he was out in the woods and his parents were pre-occupied. He was walking along the forest when he heard a sound behind him. The young boy (at the time only eight) spun around frightened and a tree branched snapped in two. Efelion was later comforted by the fact that the sound had just been his father looking for plants instead of some animal coming to eat him.
