Physical Description: Like any 11 year old girl, Emily felt like all of her features were "too much." Her freckles, her big eyes, her pointed chin and cheeks. Her arms and legs were too gangly, her hair dark auburn was impossibly thick and spent most of its time pulled back in a French braid. She felt uncomfortable in her own body and despite being perfectly "average" she spent most days avoiding the mirror for fear of coming face to face with her first *shudder* pimple.

Mental Description: Emily learned a few weeks ago that some people think in abstract images rather than having an inner monologue. What that type of brain could possibly be like she had no idea. It was as if her brain was trying to make up for the first three years of her life as a mute by talking non stop.

Biography: Emily is a middle child now but it wasn't always that way. For a long time it was just her and her mum, her bio dad never being in the picture. Her mum is a witch but fell in love with a muggle when Emily was around 5 years old. For the sake of their blended family (her step dad and his two rambunctious boys) Emily's mum mostly gave up living a magical lifestyle and did things "the muggle way" which she always encouraged Emily to do as well. It certainly made it easier to fit in with her new, rather large, extended family. Her step-dad was one of 5 kids so there seemed to be an endless supply of Sharp cousins. It wasn't as hard an adjustment to fit in as Emily had thought it might be. Her brothers had quickly accepted her mom as their own and her as a sister. And her step dad never put any pressure on her to treat him as her birth father, though truth be told when she thought of her actual birth father, her step dad's face was all she could bring to mind. It feels natural to call him Dad now but as she gets older she can't shake the wonder about where the other half of her genes came from, and where he went.

First Instance of Magic: Awkwardly enough Emily's first instance of magic was actually at her mum and step dad's wedding when Emily was 5. She had been a late bloomer when it came to speaking, taking three years before saying her first words. Her mom had assumed magic either wasn't coming or would be late as well. But during the day, Emily was overcome with a million emotions and felt them bubbling out... literally. During the ceremony bubbles started floating from her head. Most of the guests assumed it was just a neat trick or muggle bubble machinery but Emily and her mom knew better.
