Polaris has light brown skin and dark brown, almost black hair that falls a bit over their shoulders. They mainly wear it in a pony tail or bun. They have brown eyes and their ears are pierced at 3 places; two on the earlobe, one snug. They have that on both of their ears in the same places. They tend to have constantly bags under their eyes, and they’re pretty noticeable. Other than that they mainly wear baggy clothes that fall a bit big on them.
Mental Description
Polaris is at first sight a quiet and taken a-back person. They tend to keep to themselves at first, analyzing their environment but over time they can open up a bit. When they open up, they tend to make more jokes and actually start engaging in conversations. They speak their mind when they truly have a strong opinion about something and don’t let others walk over them. Other than that they’re also an Insomniac, they have a hard time falling asleep which leads to them drinking sleeping potions whenever they feel like it’s needed to avoid making failing. However, they’re extremely work-focused, they thrive of validation specifically from their parents which causes them, in the case of not being able to sleep, by using up some of that time to make extra homework, till they are satisfied with their work. They’re determined not to fail their parents or the people around them. They’re willing to do anything to reach their goals as long as it fits their views on the world.
Biography
Polaris is a pure-blood coming from an middle-class family. They weren’t necessarily rich but they had enough money to get around and also have some fun. Their parents taught them that everyone, regardless of the amount of ‘wizard blood’ they have is equal, but that not everyone will share that same mind-set.
Polaris has a mom and a dad, their mom is called Amara and their dad is called Christopher. Their parents have always had high expectations of them. They have one younger brother of the age of 3, his name is Leo. Polaris had in the beginning a hard time adjusting to Leo considering they lived alone with their parents for around 8 years, but overtime Polaris grew to adore Leo and they don’t mind taking care of him for a bit. Amara and Christopher are incredibly supportive of how Polaris feels towards their gender, as well as sexuality. They’re pretty close, but they do clash sometimes regarding miscommunication or just a difference of opinions. However after Leo was born, Polaris felt the attention shift from them and they started to do anything and everything to get their parents validation.
Polaris was mainly friends with their neighbourhood kids, most of them were around their age but they would always try to catch little bugs and then pretend to take care of them, but they always let them free when they were done with it. The group existed out of a group of 4 people and they’ve always been pretty close.
First Instance of Magic
Polaris was barely 3 years old when their First Instance of Accidental Magic occurred, it had been an hectic morning. Amara was going on a work-related job in a few days, and Christopher had to finish his work before she left so he could be there for Polaris when they needed him.
Amara and Christopher were stressed, not paying attention to their surroundings when suddenly Daniel accidentally knocked his coffee cup off the table (one he really needed, thank you very much). Which is why he was about to say some words that should not be said, when Polaris stopped the cup from hitting the ground with magic. It didn't matter anymore that the coffee was all over the floor now, 'cause all worries were forgotten when Polaris accidentally used Magic for the first time.
