Physical Description: Fate is a young girl with pale skin, brown hair, and green eyes. Her build is very lithe. She always wears carefully curated outfits consisting only of designer brands—she was always treated as a dress-up doll by her mother and sisters growing up, but has since began figuring out her own sense of style. If you asked Fate, she is very good at accessorizing.

Mental Description: Although Fate typically presents herself as a sweet person who always has on a pleasant smile, anyone who crosses her will quickly discover a harsh, biting personality that is surprisingly blunt about her true feelings. She is very driven when it comes to her personal goals, but becomes easily jealous when she perceives someone else to be better than her, which Fate copes with by flaunting her family's vast amounts of money. Fate enjoys hobbies such as art and fashion, and her greatest desire is to become a fashion designer.

Biography:
Reducio
If you didn’t know, Fate Baudelaire was born rich.

Her family owned five holiday homes across Europe and Asia. She lived in a mansion packed with eight bedrooms, a movie theater, an indoor swimming pool, and her own walk-in closet. Even as a baby, Fate Baudelaire could never be seen without being dressed from head to toe in outfits that were casually worth thousands of dollars, perhaps being escorted by an au pair spooning caviar into Fate’s mouth from a baby food jar.

Yeah. The Baudelaires had money.

Besides money, the Baudelaires had magic too. The thing, though, was that magic interested none of them. Fate’s mother was too busy being a brain surgeon while her father was occupied with his investment banking. Her older twin sisters, Verity and Honor, had quietly graduated Hogwarts and achieved minor stardom through modeling and acting in the Muggle world. Her grandparents on her father’s side bred award-winning Arabian Thoroughbreds. Her grandparents on her mother’s side—well.

Her grandfather was a politician. Her grandmother—no, Obaachan—was, on all accounts, a fully-fledged witch.

Obaachan was a herbologist and potioneer by trade who either sold her grown ingredients or brewed them into immaculate bubbling potions. Obaachan doted on Fate the most—Fate’s fondest memories were playing in Obaachan’s magical garden, wrinkling her nose as the bitter smells of brewing potions wafted nearby. Whereas at home, Fate’s bouts of accidental magic were treated as inevitable frustrations, Obaachan celebrated every time Fate flew to the tallest tree branch or made flowers dance in the sky.

It was probably why Fate surprised everybody with her willingness to go to Hogwarts. It was probably why Fate surprised herself when she held her acceptance letter and thought, Perhaps this won’t be too bad.

First Instance of Magic: When Fate was four-years-old, she passed by a beautiful doll that was being displayed in a toy shop window. She was insistent that her parents buy it, but they waved her off and told her to leave the doll alone. Eventually, they had to drag Fate away from the window, but through her screaming and crying, the doll magically poofed in her hands.
