Physical Description: Crystal Walker is an 11-year-old girl who stands at an average height of about 4 feet and 8 inches (144 cm) tall. She has light brown hair that naturally falls to her mid-back, but she chooses to tie it up in a "space-bun" hairstyle. Crystal's tan face is dotted with brown freckles on the cheeks and nose, and her green eyes have flacks of a yellowy-gold color scattered throughout. Crystal has been wearing glasses since she turned 5 and she has no interest in using the muggle technology known as contacts, because she believes the glasses make her eyes look prettier. Crystal is somewhat of a "girly-girl," and chooses to wear brightly-colored dresses whenever she gets the chance, but is comfortable wearing any style of clothing.
Mental Description: Crystal is a very kind girl, though in all honesty, she possesses a supreme lack of motivation that often prevents her from taking the actions that her heart tells her to take. Though, on the other hand, she often gets magnificent spurts of motivation, which lead to her reorganizing her room all in one afternoon, or deciding to cook dinner for herself and her moms.

Aside from the lack of motivation, Crystal is a very smart and usually hard-working girl. Even if she doesn't have the motivation to finish a task, she still feels the need to see it completed. She will sit at her desk for hours finishing a project that she started that morning, even long after she has tired of the activity. The negative side of that is that she often doesn't get up to do the things she needs to do, like eat or help her moms with household chores, which frustrates her moms quite a bit.

Crystal has a hard time processing and understand the emotions of others, though possessing very strong ones herself. She will often trigger a person's anger without realizing it, get confused when they respond badly, and lash out at them in response to their lashing out.

Crystal also has bad social anxiety, which leads to a false aura of shyness that cause many to perceive her as something she is not. In reality, Crystal is quite loud and has no filter, but is too scared of the way strangers might see her, so she gets all shy and mumbly around people she doesn't know very well.
Biography: Crystal is half-blood by birth, but was raised by a sapphic couple, both of whom were witches. The donor her mother used was a muggle, so Crystal was not raised in a half-blood household, yet is legally considered one. Because of her moms, Crystal was raised with an open mind towards everything and encouraged, though not pressured, to explore and experiment with her identity and her beliefs.

Like many wizard children, Crystal was not educated at muggle schools, and was instead homeschooled by her mother. One of her moms, the one that she calls "mom," works at the Ministry of Magic, so her other mom, the one she calls "mama," would stay home and teach Crystal. Though she was home with her mom every day, Crystal would often get lonely, because she was an only child. Crystal was her moms' first child, and they didn't really wish for another one.

As Crystal grew up, her moms started taking her out into the muggle world a bit more, especially to the places that her mama, a muggleborn, loved to visit as a child. For Crystal, who had grown up as part of the wizarding community, these adventures were more of a fun excursion than a real learning experience, as she had no interest in leaving the wizarding world and living as a muggle.

When Crystal's Hogwarts letter arrived, her moms were overjoyed, even though they already knew that Crystal was a witch, because she had displayed magic before.
First Instance of Magic: Crystal was 8 when her first magic showed. On one of the family's day trips to muggle places, her mama decided to take the family to a pride parade, her first since marrying, and Crystal's mom's first ever. While at the parade, as there often are, there were many protestors with signs reading "Homosexuality is a Sin!" and other hurtful messages. Crystal had always been raised to support and love everybody, she she was disgusted that people could be so mean to people like her moms who were just trying to live their lives normally. Because the emotions of young children are often much stronger than those of adults, Crystal got angry at the protesters and her powerful, uncontrollable "child magic" unleashed itself for the first time. Crystal's anger accidentally summoned a large gust of wind, causing the protesters' signs to blow out of their hands, but leaving the signs being held by those in the parade untouched.
