Owen Pryce
Status:
Muggle-born
Nationality:
Welsh
Residence:
Cardiff, Wales
Function:
First year, Gryffindor
Wand:
23,1 cm chestnut wood and dragon heartstring
Appearance:
Owen is a fairly small and skinny for his age.  at a first glance, he has darker brown hair and slate grey eyes. His hair is kept cropped short, but other than that he lets it grow as it wants and rarely fixes it, meaning it looks rough and unkempt most of the time. He is often smiling, and with his face dotted with freckles. Owen is about 127 centimeters tall, and weighs about 72 lbs.
Since Owen grew up inside a muggle household, if he is given the choice he will be wearing muggle clothes, Most often a t-shirt and sweater or hoodie with dark khakis.

Personality:
While Owen is extremely friendly towards others, as he craves as much social interaction as possible due to his lack of it before he came to Hogwarts, he is not the most adept at conversation and communication. He often focuses on himself, not understating the emotions of others and sometimes missing social cues that might be obvious to others. Though he can be seen as rude and self centered, Owen tries to be kind to others, though he can sometimes fall short. He is inquisitive, always trying to learn more about the new world he was exposed to, but when some skill seems to elude him, he can quickly become irritated. Owen is quick to anger, but often times even quicker to forgive.

Origin:
Owen was born in Cardiff, Wales to a family of muggles. As an only child, Owen got all of his parents attention, and during his early years fostered a fun and loving relationship with them. His family was by no means rich, but Owen lead a comfortable and sheltered  life for the majority childhood. While performing the occasional magic trick seemed normal to him, when his parents discovered what he could do, they were terrified. Not confused and unable to fully process what they had seen their child do, they pulled him out of school and began to home-school him, afraid of what might happen if word got out about what he was capable of. His parents kept him away from other children as best they could, leaving him to his own devices, often meaning he was reading whatever books he could get his hands on. While his parents discouraged the use of magic, Owen managed to sneak in practices here and there, and always enjoyed the thrill the magic gave him. His parents had just been looking into cases such as Owen's, when the letter arrived from Hogwarts. His father though it was some sort of sick practical joke, but his mother slowly brought him around to the idea that it might be the solution they had been looking for. They were eventually convinced to let him attend in the hope that it would grant him opportunities to live a fulfilling life, rather than hiding in normal society.
