Many things can be deceiving to the eye. Be careful on believing on what you see, for they can lie to you.

Physical Description: Southeastern-Asian genetics from her mother, Anastasia has fair colored skin that has been slightly tanned from being in the sun. Barely noticeable, but the tan is there. She bears bright brown eyes and black, wavy hair that seems to turn brown the more she matures.

Anastasia often jokes that her hair is color-changing to many of her friends; when she was young, many who knew her could’ve sworn that it was black; now, it is only black to the glancing eye. Upon closer inspection, many could say that it is now brown.

Once, after Anastasia stepped out of the shower and proceeds to dry herself, she glances at her hair did a double-take; her usually black-but-now-somehow-brown hair has been transformed into the color between brown and red. It could’ve been a trick of the eye, but the auburn hair continued to show after showers, until Anastasia gave up on finding out what it was and continued with her day.

Her face is somewhat mature, with a straight nose and slightly pouty lips that smiles at everyone she knows.

For some reason, whenever Anastasia put on lip gloss, it only highlights the pout even more. Anastasia dislikes this fact, and had tried to go without gloss to lessen the pouty look on several occasions. This only led to chapped lips instead, and she was soon forced to apply chapsticks instead.

Anastasia prefers her hair long, but had it cut to her shoulders a year back. She is now growing it out again, and it now lands near the center of her upper arms.

She is currently 4'9" feet/1.45 meters tall, and is still growing. Anastasia is well-built enough for someone who is not involved much in sports other than swimming and martial arts. As of first year, Anastasia's body has not yet matured.

People are often made out of glass. Just how durable is the object, and how much care should you handle it with...that is the true question to be asked.

Personality: An extroverted introvert, Anastasia is considered as a “dreamer”, and she has no shame admitting so. Often speaking her mind, she expresses her emotions clearly, and wears her heart on her sleeves.

More often than not, Anastasia makes sure that no one is left out, whether it is in a group project, an opinion, or a conversation. Surounding herself with many friends from both the muggle and wizarding world, Anastasia sometimes wonders to herself how did she get so many companions. The question was left unanswered.

An optimistic, she always tries to see the bright side of things in every situation. However, it doesn't mean that she only knows the so-called “good” of society; Anastasia knows a bad mark when she witness one, and often mutter profanities under her breath when things get out of hand or if someone/something ticks her off.

Anastasia is an open-minded person, and always tries to listen to both sides of the story. Despite this, she has her own opinions on things, and pitch in her voice every so often. She is well aware that her words can hurt, though, and tries to refrains herself from saying anything too offensive the majority of the time. This does not mean that she never slips up, though.

Anastasia hardly hates anyone to the point where she would wish dishonor, but when there's anyone who would annoy her to the point of a steaming pot, the girl would often snap at them, and would close off enough where it would become impossible for said person to reach out to her. Anastasia can hold very long grudges.

Anastasia enjoys dueling; an aspect that nearly completly contradicts her usually bright personality. She never backs down from a fight (unless it is absolutely necessary to), and would give it her all when engaged. Perhaps her being a martial arts student is a bad mix on this aspect as well...

“Being optimistic” doesn't mean that you have to “be happy”. It simply just asks you to look on the bright side of things.

Biography: Anastasia had lived most of her life as a muggle. Parents divorced, she lives with her mom's side of the family. Her mother works as a muggle stylist (despite knowing magic), and had Anastasia go to a muggle school for her beginning years. She soon came to know of the Wizarding World through her mother when she was seven, after her magic decided to let itself be known. Even after knowing the truth behind the strange oddities that often happens around her, Anastasia continues to live a fairly happy childhood, and decides to reach out to the other world.

The first friend she made from the Wizarding World was a pureblood named Nyra Dualis when she and her mother was on vacation in Wiltshire. Anastasia had just found out about magic nearly half a year earlier, and was very excited to meet someone who grew up by wizarding means. The two became fast friends, and soon declared themselves besties. Nyra had special privilege and called their friend “Asia”, a little joke as to say, for Anastasia is indeed partially of Asian heritage, despite being born in Scotland. Nyra had also pointed out that “Anastasia” cannot be spelt without “Asia”, so for the both of them, it was deemed fitting.

“Saying ‘Anastasia’ is too much of a mouthful anyways,” said girl declared.

Two years later after meeting Nyra, Anastasia again came to meet another wizard-born named Mira Starr. The pair hit it off quite well, and with the convenience of only being nearly thirty minutes away from each other (Mira resides in the city of London, while Anastasia lives in Richmond), they saw each other quite often. Already, several years before her Hogwarts years starts, Anastasia has made two friends in the Wizarding World, both of whom would join Hogwarts the same year as she.

For she is raised as a muggle, Anastasia came to like and enjoy things that many other muggles would.
  • She is extremely supportive of the LGBTQ+ community, and openly declared as asexual-biromantic herself.
  • Introduced to musical theater by her music teacher, Anastasia soon became obsessed over many popular Broadway shows, and would often listen to many Broadway music.
  • Getting herself into video games was a decision that she slightly regrets, for her mother had to drag her away from the electronic screen on multiple occasions when she spends too many hours at a time. What can she say? Most of the games she picked were lore based, and she only got caught up in the heat of the battle in-game. That's all.
  • Anastasia has always been an avid reader, but she has never in her life devoured fanfiction as much as she does now. Fanfic works had existed long before she even found out about the Wizarding World, but she has been slowly swept into the rabbit hole, and she can't seen to get back out. It doesn't mean Anastasia regrets jumping down into the hole though.

Background: Anastasia’s mother and father are both wizard-born, but her grandmother on her mom’s side was of muggle-birth, deeming Anastasia as 1/4 muggle-blood, if you’re willing to go to specifics. Despite this, she is not afraid to proudly declare that she is indeed a half-blood. “Why is it so disdainful to be a half-muggle?” she would often ask, challenging her peers. Most would stutter or become quiet. Others would throw words back at her in retaliation.

The selected latter would later be seen with bruises in the infirmary.

First Instance of Magic: It was a week or so after Anastasia's seventh birthday. Alone in her room, she had wanted to retrieve one of her books from her shelf; the only thing being, the blasted book was on a shelf too high, and was out of reach for Anastasia. Too proud believing that she was a “big girl” and too stubborn to get herself a chair, Anastasia jumped and reached for that one book, to no avail. Frustrated, she stopped, and kicked the bookshelf quite softly in a petty attempt to say, “I don't like you anymore.” It was not hard enough to even stub her toe, but somehow, all of the books on that shelf leaned, tilted, and fell to the ground, piling up on Anastasia.

The shelf had not at all moved, and none of the shelf accessories shifted even an inch.

Surprisingly, Anastasia kept quiet in shock from the sudden pile of books, and did not move until her grandmother found the mess in her room. When her grandma finally dug her out from the books, Anastasia simply stared at the pile blinked blankly. For the rest of the day, she spoke not a word.

That evening was the first time Anastasia found out about the existance of the Wizarding World.
