“One must always stay civil, no matter the situation at hand.”

Physical Appearance.
Evangeline is smaller than most her age, being four-and-a-half feet (4’6”) tall and is just past being of a slim body type. Her eyes are a deep and rich brown, accompanied by a slight puff of eyebags, and she sports cheekbones that, if uncovered by her slightly chubby cheeks, could cut through anything. No matter the time or place, Evangeline keeps her hair up in two neat and elegant buns, which happen to reveal whisps of hair that remain unkempt around her hairline.

Personality.
Evangeline presents herself to be polite and mannerly, always putting others before herself, a trait she acquired from her mother. However, she does find it difficult to keep up her courtesy, often wishing she could simply read a long novel in silence. Of course, this is only around people Evangeline doesn't know. Once around people she’s closer with, she does become more conversational, however still keeping politeness, in fear of losing the people she’s close to.

Evangeline rarely takes offense to anything, only disgusted by people of rebellious behaviour and, of course, discrimination. However, any remarks towards Evangeline will only make her clench her teeth and bite her tongue. But, if someone does insult someone she is attached to, she will attempt to defend them, no matter whether they are present or not. However, this does not entail her yelling at someone, moreso calmly arguing against them, picking their points apart. After all, Evangeline doesn't want to be like the people from her public school, fighting in the hallways and screaming at the top of their lungs. She wants to be civil, always.

History Prior To Hogwarts.

Reducio
Evangeline was born to a young couple who, at first, wanted to abort the child, before deciding that it would have been cruel. However, a few days before the mother went into labour, the father, a wizard known as Damon Edwards, decided to leave, and never return. The mother, a muggle who went by the name of Riona Drayton, was distraught, blaming the newborn child for her boyfriend's disappearance. But, this did not make her detest her baby, not at all. After all, she knew the child did not mean to cause the event to happen.

Evangeline, the name chosen in memory of an ancestor of Riona’s, lived a fairly ordinary early life. Their house, while not the biggest, perfectly fit the pair. Evangeline enjoyed her time with her mother, especially since she was an amazing role model. Not only did she ensure Evangeline was having a fun time, she made sure to teach her child life lessons, such as manners. Of course, a lot of time was spent without Riona at Evangeline's side, considering she was a working mother, but those times, too, were fine, as Evangeline was able to spend time with her grandmother, who was rather similar to Riona.

The rest of her time before Hogwarts was much like her early life, but, of course, interrupted by other events. For example, schooling. Evangeline went to a public school for a few years before being transferred to a private one after Riona recieved a payrise. This change didn't hit Evangeline too hard, though, as the people at her public school were not as civilised as her. However, her time in the private school was most enjoyable for Evangeline. Her education there was more refined to what she enjoyed than the public school’s, and the people there seemed more alike Evangeline, rather than those at her former academy.

At around seven years-old, Evangeline first became aware that something about her was unusual, especially when she compared herself to the muggles around her. She came to this realisation on a particularly awful day at her private school, perhaps one of the worst up to that point. And then, when she finally arrived home, the anger within her that had boiled for a long time finally erupted. She slammed the front door behind her, ready to run upstairs to her bed to sob and weep, although she was caught by surprise. Cracks broke through the walls surrounding the door, leaving Evangeline open-mouthed with horror. She began to calm herself, breathing in and out, like her mother had taught her, when the cracks began to repair themselves, almost as if controlled by Evangeline's feelings.

Low points continued past this first instance, especially when Evangeline told her mother, Riona. The dismay on her face was clear as day, almost as if this disgusted her mother. However, Riona then explained; Evangeline's father, his status as a wizard, and what must have been passed down to her. Evangeline felt sympathetic for her mother in that moment, and especially so when the letters started to pour through the door, with Riona screaming to leave them alone. Eventually, though, her mother caved in, deciding to accept the fate of her only daughter. And so, Evangeline began to prepare for the school, still partly surprised by this entire ordeal.
