Naturally gifted with the kind of obvious but innocent beauty that turns heads, Ivy has always attracted attention. With long, wavy brown hair and pale skin, her jade coloured eyes and full rose lips stand out. The pink in her cheeks gives a liveliness and youthful appearance to herself, but her straight dark brows also show her seriousness and maturity beyond her years. She is not too tall, and will only grow to about five-foot-four, but her slender figure and awkwardly long legs give the impression that she stands higher than she actually is. But don't let this elegance deceive you, because Ivy can be hot-headed and clumsy very often.

Ivy is naturally funny in a subtle way and good-natured, but undoubtedly a realist, which some may interpret as pessimistic. She is also witty, and knows how to put someone in their place. She is an only child, and with her parents being away on work so often, she knows how to stand her ground and is very independent, though her gifted and intelligent mind has made her slightly stubborn and arrogant, as she has always been the smartest in the room. She grew up in South London, a place where crime was the norm. Ivy was always smart enough to stay away from bad people, but her background has made her streetwise and responsible, but also troublesome and cheeky. Ivy is a bright, determined girl, who knows what she wants in life, but that doesn't stop her from being a loyal, brilliant friend. And as she is almost always at the centre of attention, she's made sure to keep her small tight-knit group of friends close to her.

Ivy's first instance of magic happened when she was seven, after she accidentally ripped her dress at a garden party. As soon as she looked away, however, the dress had miraculously repaired itself, and Ivy thought nothing of it at the time.
