Physical Description:
Asher's hair tends to be on the longer and curlier side and is a dark brown with hints of golden blond. His eyes are a silvery grey with a tint of blue near the pupil. For his skin, he leans slightly pale but tans rather easily during the summer, he has freckles that adorn mainly the bridge of his nose and is sprinkled on his cheeks. His figure is lean but he has slight muscle growth. Finally, Asher has a birthmark over his right eye and eyebrow that has a reddish/tan tint and is slightly indented into his skin. His mother has tried many times to remove the birth mark with magic but was unable to and instead resorted to covering it with makeup or hiding it with magic.
History:
Asher was born in Glasglow Scotland on the 10th of October in 2009 at 11:00 p.m. to Richard and Anastasia Zephyr. He has two older brothers, William and Zachary, that are 13 and 15, and while growing up Asher grew incredibly close to his two older brothers. Although they had their moments where they fought, at the end of the day they love each other, and Asher's older brothers would do anything to protect him and they often teach him how to toughen up and defend himself and his friends. When it comes to schooling Asher's favorite subject is reading and by the age of 7 Asher was reading well above his age level, and writing and talking came rather easily. Asher does slightly struggle in mathematics and the scientific field, but with the help of his father who often works with numbers as an accountant for the Ministry of Magic, and his older brothers who were able to grasp numbers much faster, Asher slowly learned and started doing better in his studies. Being born into a Pure-blood family, Asher expected some odd happenings to occur when he was younger, but nothing overly exciting happened. His parents being pure-blood meant that they kept any "unwanted" and "untrained" magic at bay and they knew how to handle the odd situations did they occur. Asher does have some friends who are pure-blood, but many are either muggle-born or half-blood his parents, unlike some pure-blood families, do not care about the history of the kids, as long as the friendships or relationships are healthy. Overall, Asher had a relatively easy childhood, his only setback was his birthmark which, to his mother's dismay, he likes to show off and when he was younger he pretended he got it from fighting a dragon. His mother has begged Asher to hide it when he goes to Hogwarts but Asher has made no promises.
Identity:
From a young age Asher knew he was not simply male, nor female, he was some odd in-between. Non-binary was not a term Asher knew until one of his muggle-born friends who is 12 introduced him to the idea. He spoke to his parents about it and eventually, after a slightly confusing conversation that resulted in many months of research, Asher's parents are okay with the idea that he is not male or female. His pronouns are he/him and they/them (do not use female pronouns as they make him rather uncomfortable) and even though he is only 11, Asher has discovered that he finds both girls and boys cute, but has decided to wait until he is older to decide what his sexuality is as he is still young.
First Instance of Magic:
Being part of a pure-blood family means that most of the instances that could occur with wandless magic were avoided at all costs. However, there was one small instance that is rather funny. One day Asher's brother William stole his toy quidditch set while Asher was reading a book outside and when Asher came back inside William demanded five galleons for the toy back. Asher, who had earned the five galleons William was demanding by cleaning the house by hand, refused to turn over the money and demanded his toy be returned. William, who was now making fun of Asher for being so attached started laughing and Asher started to grow furious suddenly William's eyes went wide. Asher, confused of course, as he is not a threatening figure, especially at this time when he was only six years old, asks what's wrong and William points behind Asher. Asher turns around to find the novel he was just reading to be floating and because Asher was so shocked it fell to the ground. William returned the toy quidditch set shortly after and Asher talked to his parents about the incident. Needless to say, Asher started learning how to control his anger so nothing like that would occur again.
Attitude:
Despite his young age, Asher shows signs of being an empath and often puts the concerns and pain of others before his own. Known to be very caring and loving, he is the stereotypical "therapist friend" and everyone who is close to him often worries about him because his emotions slowly build up and he often does not know how to handle them. His parents, noticing this behavior from a young age, started getting him involved in activities such as running, dancing, and general sports, including practicing quidditch on the ground with his brothers without broomsticks, Asher slowly discovered that the best way to get out his anger and his frustration was through actions rather than words. His parents also got him into journaling and got him a therapist who goes through the journal with him and discusses how to better his attitude and energy. Despite his struggles, Asher is a beautiful soul and cares incredibly deeply about everyone, especially his brothers, parents, and friends. Asher's main is to make everyone smile.
