Physical Description: Eleanor is a girl of smaller-than-average height for her age, with a slim build. She has dark brown hair, usually kept in some kind of loose ponytail. Eleanor's mouth is near-constantly formed in a cheeky smile, showing off her dimpled cheeks and the mischievous glow in her dark eyes.

Mental Description: Eleanor is caring, loud and over-confident. Considered brash throughout her years at primary school, she developed a reputation for standing up to people, whether it was necessary or not. She has a strong anti-authority streak and can be fiercely loyal to her friends. She always loves a joke and can be a little too quick to mess around and joke with people who don't want it.

Biography: Eleanor is the only child of muggle parents. Born in Manchester, she lived a fairly uneventful childhood up until her first instances of magic. She was a pupil of average ability academically but exceptionally talented at getting into trouble. She always tried to get out of it with a smile and a cheeky comment.

Once her letter to Hogwarts arrived, leaving Eleanor with a weird feeling of displacement. Happy enough in her lot, she was caught between her life then and her future to come, never really knowing where she'd fit with her friends. She did keep it quiet, though, managing to avoid awkward questions about why she wasn't heading to the local secondary school with everyone.

Now heading to Hogwarts, Eleanor is nervously excited and ready to see what lies in store for her.

First Instance of Magic: As an eight year old, Eleanor accidentally managed to destroy a fence with magic. Once, after school, Eleanor and her friends were chased by some older children. One of her friends was caught and Eleanor rushed back. Struggling to get them off her friend, she punched and kicked to no avail. Consumed with anger, Eleanor gritted her teeth, shoved one towards a garden fence and... suddenly, the wood exploded around them. A few of the older children sustained some nasty grazes and cuts, but Eleanor and her friends were unharmed.

The accident was written off as some freak occurrence, possibly weather or gas-related. However, Eleanor always assumed that there was something more to it, one that she'd kept to herself for a while. Things only began to make sense later, once that fateful letter arrived.
