Elodie Eryss Reign cel Rău

Name: Elodie Eryss Reign cel Rău
Also known as: Elodie cel Rău
Nicknames: El, Eryss, Iz, Er (Pronounced Air) Reign, Rei
Age: Eleven
Birthdate: First of January, Twenty-ten
Time of Birth: Midnight
Birthplace: Inverness, Scotland
Nationality: Scottish
Astrological Sign: Capricorn
Gender: Female
Blood Status: Half-blood
Pronouns: She/Her/Hers
Orientation: Straight/Heterosexual
Faceclaim: Kristina Pimenova

Appearance:

Eye color: Intense blue
Hair color: Dirty blonde but her hair darkens in the winter to a brownish color
Height: 5 foot (152.4 cm)
Weight: 95lbs
Build: Will fill in when she ages.
Scars/Blemishes/Birthmarks/Etc: Soft dust of freckles along her cheeks and nose.
Description: Sweet little Elodie is not so little anymore. Within the last year, the once scrawny, rambunctious scout has "sprout up like a weed", now standing at an even five foot. But, she has always been on the tall side. Her youth shines within her pores, with a natural blush to her beige complexion, her appearance is flawless at a distance. Upon further inspection of her beautiful features at a close range, a light dust if freckles line her cheeks and the bridge of her nose. With high cheek bones and pouty lips, Elodie is a naturally beautiful young girl.

Sweet she may look, Elodie intense blue gaze shines with a mischievous gleam, as if she is up to no good. With thick lashes that bat when she blinks, her peircing gaze is hard not to notice. The corners of her mouth instinctively curve up slightly, giving her a sly little smile. Her dirty blonde hair is like a waterfall, tumbling down to her mid-back. Naturally, her hair is straight but with the help of her mother, Elodie has learned how to curl her hair and she prefers this, never seen without her hair in curls. As seasons change, Elodie's hair often darkens as the sun is unable to bleach her hair naturally.

Style:

Peircings/tattoos: Yes; ears. It took years for Elodie to be granted the one wish she desperately desired; her ears peirced. Being too young at the time, her parents denied her that, thinking she was too young and not mature enough to be able to take care of them herself. Upon her acceptance into Hogwarts, as a gift, her mother and father took her to get her ears peirced.
Makeup: El has slowly started to "dip her brushes" into the art of makeup, much to her father and older brothers horror. With the help of her mom, she has maintained her makeup collection to the bare minimum of mascara, blush, and lip gloss, focusing on inhancing the assets she adores about herself; her eyes, her cheeks, and her lips.
Clothing Style: Girly/Sporty
Description to her style: The one thing El's mother always wanted was a girl to dress up. After having four sons, her wish finally came true. As a baby, El's closet consisted of cute outfits and dresses; bows and headbands; tights and little dress shoes. She was her mother's baby doll. As El grew up and developed her personality, personal preferences, and her own sense of style, she didn't adventure far from what she knew. She still held onto the girly style but because of being influenced by having so many brothers, she took on a sporty look as well. "I mean, you can't play basketball in heels, right?"

Mental Health:

Mental Illness: As of now, no.
Diagnosed disorder: None.
Description: Not Applicable.
NOTE: This could change as she grows up based on how she is raised. Being talked about further in her history, El is raised more strictly compared to her brothers. This right here could cause her to develope anxiety as she ages and notices the key differences on how her parents raise her versus how her brothers are raised.

Mannerisms:
Poised, prim, proper; the three P's that her mother installed into her daughter since she could walk. "You are judged within the first 5 seconds someone sees you, El. Make those 5 seconds count." She could recite this speech in her sleep and probably has since she use to have nightmares about it because of how often she heard it. But, what her parents don't known, won't hurt them, right? She can throw her courtesy, strong silence, and being seen and not heard out the window if her parents aren't around; right?

How El is seen with her parents are totally different than when she is around her brothers or her parents aren't around. That once poise, prim, and proper pre-teen turns into a whole new girl. Her rigid appearance starts to relax and her shoulders start to slouch. She becomes this super giggly girl that bounds around and has fun. She acts more like a kid rather than a mini adult.

First Impressions:
Her parents raises her to be a proper young lady. From the way she stands to her simple mannerisms of shaking the hands of her elders and peers, she often comes off very shy and reserves just because of learning her place in a conversation and only speak when spoken too. Though she stands off to herself, hands either at her side or behind her back, her emotions and thoughts are easily seen across her features, causing the color of her eyes to either shine bright or dull down with emotion.

When addressing her fully, she often will look at them like a deer in the headlights, looking both ways before finally settling on that she is being talked too. It is nothing against that person, she just isn't use to being openly conversated with. Getting to know El will show really who she is; this fun loving person that is just a child at heart.

How they met:
"It may have been love at first sight for her, but me, I needed time to warm to the angel with the golden locks and the piercings eyes. But, how could your mother not fall for me and my devilish handsome looks and charming nature. I can still remember the day I first met the woman that would be my best friend and soulmate. As you know, my dear Elodie, your mother is considerably younger than I. I was a mere twenty-seven years young, never married, and had no intentions of marrying. I wanted my line to stop with me; I wanted to make sure I hurt the very man that hurt me as I grew up. To your grandfather, I would be the heir. I would marry a well known lady of great society standing and continue to produce a strongline of heirs. But, I would soon become the disappointment to your grandfather. But, that is a story for another day and one for when you are older.

Romania December winter is a different kind of winter. Especially up in the mountains. One day I shall take you to see that part of your heritage and show you where I first saw your mom. The wind bit harsh against my cheeks, as I scuttled through the city bundled up in my winter robes. The snow had slowly started to fall but the sun slowly peaked through the light gray clouds that accumulated above the city, crying frozen water. For such a cold day, the streets and sidewalks were packed and maneuvering through the maze of bodies became a chore as I tried not to only bump into someone but also didn't slip on the snow that had already been packed down by the weight of individuals. But, my dear daughter, as Murphy's Law states; anything that can go wrong will go wrong.
Now thinking back, I should have thanked the guy that ran into me, causing me to bump into the woman that was in just as much of a hurry as I was. It was almost a catastrophe, one that would of gotten someone hurt if I had not quickly grabbed her, El, because as I bumped into her, she hit a patch of ice just right, slipping. She was light as a feather in my arms, securing her tightly to me before she hit the pavement. The way what little sun played against her blonde curls and the way her beautiful eyes as blue as the ones staring at me now."

History:

Her family wasn't originally from Scotland; well, at least not her dad's side. Derived from a long line from Romania, Costin cel Rău never saw himself leaving his homelands nor settling down and having children. Growing up, his life was one that no one would desire. The only son of a pureblooded wizard, Costin was what his father desired. A healthy boy to carry on the cel Rău name. His father wouldn't stop at nothing to get the heir that he thought he deserved. Costin wouldn't say he grew up in a loveless household, but his mother and father's relationship was one of respect rather than love.

Upon the birth of Costin, his father would become joyous, hiring the best of the best to tutor his son; to take care of the child so he would be raised as a fine gentleman of "higher society." But, his father would never truly interact with his son, keeping him at a distance and only involving himself in terms of his son's studies or to discipline him when he forgot his manners. His mother, too, took a non-hands on approach in raising her son. Only addressing him in passing or when settled at the dinning table during a meal. She would ask him how his studies were going but would stop communication after Costin would reply simply with "good."

Costin always knew of his potential; knew of the power that flew through his veins for his father always spoke of the name he had to live up to in the Wizarding World. At the age of six, Costin would discover just what power he held within his tiny fingers. Once again, Costin found himself at the end of a verbal lashing from his father as the marks on his latest studies was not up to standard. Each name his father used cut deeper into the child, fueling the fire that slowly rose within him. His mother stood to the side, poised and quiet as always. His nose flared as the anger boiled over, erupting inside him. It happened in a matter of seconds, a glass filled with his father's favorite beverage lifted off the dark oak desk and flew across the room, hitting the wall and shattering, scaring not only his mother but his father. At age eleven, Costin would attend Drumstrang Institute where he would find his passion in curses and jinxes. Upon graduation, he would enter the highly demanding field of achieving mastering curses and jinxes with interning with individuals who have exceeded in learning about such.

He never was good enough for his father. The son he always wanted was flawed and that would not suffice to his father. He tried hard to bring home the marks his father demanded but it was never good enough. At the age of eighteen, the pressure that his father had continuously placed upon his shoulders. The argue was eruptive, massive in comparison to all the others. A day that should of been happy as he just had graduated and managed to get an internship with a master of Curses, Spells, and Jinxes to progress his education further on the passions he loves but, his father once again picked at his accomplishments, tearing his son down by harsh criticism. It would be this day that Costin would have no more, finally standing up for himself. "Your line dies with me, father! I refuse the repeat this cycle for children do not deserve this!" He would hit his father where it would hurt; denying his line to continue on out of fear he would be like his father to his own future child and future wife.

But, they say love changes a man. At the age of twenty-seven, Costin cel Rău would meet his soulmate, the love his life, his partner in crime; Carrigan Grace Fay after bumping, literally, into her on a cold December day in Romania. Unlike Costin, Carrigan grew up in a loving household. Her parents adored her. She was their pride and joy and they gave her the world. Carrigan was no where near spoiled and she truly appreciated and was humbled by what her parents gave her. She was their only child and would remain their only child. Carrigan would always exceed in her studies, pulling high marks and would not settle on anything but perfection. She had goals, she has dreams, and she would stop at nothing to accomplish them. As a child, she always spoke of going to Hogwarts, graduating with high marks, and becoming a healer and her parents would nourish those desires. Their daughter had great potential and they would see it at age seven when she mistakenly used her magic to navigate her pencil without her hand. At the age of eleven, Carrigan would be accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardly where she would continue to excell. Graduating had been her dream and within her seventh year, she had achieved an intern with a healer in Romania; this is where her love story would begin.

"It may have been love at first site for him, but for me, I found him annoying." She would always tell her kids but never truly mean it because it was her that fell before he. Carrigan was considerably younger than Costin; at just nineteen and barely out of school, the very internship to be a healer in Romania would change her whole life. She would bump into her savor while walking to her internship; well, he would bump into her, causing her to almost fall. With a quick motion, he would carefully cradle her to him, holding her tightly. His voice was like butter and his deep blue eyes looked into her soul. It was that instant she knew she was falling.

A teenage romance was not what she got. Getting to know the man known as Costin would be very difficult. He was a closed book, locked away and would not even allow her to read the summary. But the more he denied her, the more she wanted to get close to him. Her infatuation slowly turned into a borderline obsession; an itch that she couldn't scratch. His excuses drove her mad. She didn't care about his age; she didn't care about his job and how dangerous it was. She was growing to love him and if only he could see....

The walls of Costin would slowly widdle away. This beautiful Goddess that admired him so much, her determination and charm almost infectious. Her kindness and beauty slowly won him over, and by the time she had to leave from Romania, he knew he couldn't live without her. Against his judgment and against what he swore he never would do, Costin would say "I do" to Carrigan. Carrigan, would forget her passions to be a healer and forge her life around being a good wife and eventually a mother. Though Costin never requested this from her, Carrigan thought it was her duty, trying to follow the step his mother has taken with Costin's father. Though, being a supportive wife made her happy and eventually being a mother would add to her happiness, she felt there was always something missing and that desire to be a healer still lingered in the back of her mind.

There relationship would not be the fairytale they imagine; two strangers making a quick decision would find it hard to adapt to one another, even after having four sons. Their sons would grow up in a rocky houshold; the norm being of their parents disagreeing with one another over the littlest of things. Though, their parents would never argue in front of their sons, the boys could hear the tempers flare outside the house. They would disagree over the littlest of things. Carrigan's actions of being like Costin's mother slowly ate away at him, making seeing the once vibrant woman that he fell in love with in a new light; a light that slowly scared him into believing he would become his father. But, being old fashioned, divorce was not an option and so they made it work, throwing themselves into raising their four rambunctious scouts that they loved and adored. When their youngest son; Caturix, was just two, the couple would relocate to Scotland as Costin would take a position with the Ministry.

The family slowly adapted to the new life within Scotland and being close to Carrigan's family made caring for fours boys so much easier. Both Carrigan and Costin would slowly establish a routine, focusing on letting the boys have a life that they never had. They threw themselves into allowing their boys to explore the world, follow their passions, and nourish their creativities. They never limited their boys, slowly creating well rounded young men. Throwing themselves into their boys happiness allowed them to ignore the tensions that was in their marriage.

For eight years, the cel Rău family continued to grow in memories and laughter but the love between Costin and Carrigan no longer had that spark. They settle into a life of respect for one another as they watched eachother correspond and interact with the growing boys. The celebrated each birthday, attended every game and recital, and shed tears as each boy would be accepted into Hogwarts and leave the nest each year to have their potential in magic grow.

A relationship held together with duck tape, glue, rubber bands, and gum slowly melted away and the arguing would become more frequent between the two. Caturix was spending more and more time with his friends that he would meet playing muggle sports, leaving the house pretty empty and the two adults to ponder and pick little by little at just what the other was doing wrong. During one of these arguments, something would happen that would cause them to enter the next adventure in life.

On the first of January 2010 at midnight, the snow slowly fell silently outside the building. A beautiful pure dust that would stick to the ground. Inside as the clock stuck midnight, a cry was heard as the world of the family inside would change. The little babe bundled in a pink blanket held tight to her mother's finger as the eyes of her father and elder brothers admired. Their hearts were stolen that night by this little girl and it would be this little girl that that would bind her parents together and stablize the once rocky foundation that Costin and Carrigan built their relationship on. It was her that reminded them just how much they loved eachother and how much they loved their children. They would make it right for her.

Elodie Eryss Reign cel Rău, a mouth full to those who saw her full name, grew up with dresses and bows, tights and little shoes. Little El is the light of her father's life and her mom's little doll baby. She was her brothers sweet but annoying little sister. And they wouldn't have it any other way. But, having this little girl changed the dynamics of the family. Elodie would grow up being nurtured. But unlike her brothers, her mother and father would push her into liking certain things. As soon as she was old enough, she would be put into piano lessons, taught how to ride a horse, and how to tumble in Gymnastics. Upon reaching school age, her parents would place her into a private school for girls unlike the public school that her brothers had gone too. She would be taught how to be a proper young lady and how a proper young lady would act. Her parents kept her routine strict and precise and expected nothing more than perfect from her.

Strict as her parents maybe with her, her siblings where not. What their parents didn't know, would not hurt them. Her brothers treated her like the child she should be. They taught her to play basketball and football. She learned diving and swimming. And simple equestrian turned into their young sibling learning to barrel race and trick riding. She adores her siblings, loving the time she has with them. Though they allow her to experience the world, they are still very protective of their young sister and would do just about anything for her.

First use of magic:
There was nothing spectacular about her first time practicing magic. She didn't save someone, break something, or used it to get out of trouble. It was all about a cookie. No older than six, a sweet little El wanting nothing more than to stop her lessons on the piano and bound into the kitchen. The delicious intoxicating smell of freshly baked cookies pulled the short attention span of the six year old to the sudden grumble of her stomach. Puckering her little lips, the fingers fell silent on the ivory keys as she finally caved tp her craving and pushed off the bench. Her tiny heels clicked on the hardwood floor as she moved from the naturally lit music room and into the kitchen, wrapping her tiny fingers over the lip of the cabnet. Beautiful blue eyes peered at the fresh bake cookies as her tiny tongue licked her lips. "Mommy, can I have a cookie please?" A soft chuckle came from the woman as her eyes moved from the cookies to the bigger image of herself. "Sweetie, it is almost dinner time. You can have a cookie after dinner." A tiny face scrunched into a pout, the little fingers let go of the counter, folding her arms at her chest. Softly, she turned, refusing her mom to see her pout. "I really want that cookie." Her tiny whisper came from her, unbeknownst to her that the top cookie slowly began to float, levitating and moving towards the little girl. A gasp fell from the woman behind her, causing her to turn, as her mom stuffs the cookie into her mouth. "Are you eating a cookie, mom?" Watching her mom shake her head, the muffle voice leaves her mother as her mother instructed her to go back to the piano and practice, causing the girl to narrow her eyes skeptically before heading back to the piano to practice.
