Physical Description: Xander is a mixed black boy. He is somewhat tall for his age, and his active and athletic childhood is clear in his appearance. He has rich, caramel skin and chocolate brown curls. When not dressed in robes he favors shorts, sandals and other clothes fit for beach living.

Mental Description: Xander's typical demeanor is that of boundless energy and enthusiasm. He is very active both physically and mentally, having a love for ocean activities and magical trivia. He does, however, come from a very small community within a small community and tends to be hesitant to form close relationships with strangers.

Biography: Xander was born to pure-blood couple Damian Babus and Winifred Whitley. Sadly, the couple passed together in a magical mishap before Xander could toddle, and Damian's sister, Renessa, and her wife Quinn adopted Xander and raised him. He was their second child, as they'd already adopted a muggle girl who was orphaned. Having never known his parents, he grew up calling his Aunt Renessa "Mother" and her wife "Mummy".

They lived in St. Ives, Cornwall, near the beach in a little neighborhood off the beaten path. There were two other families there, and only one with a child. Xander spent most of his early years with his neighbor and only friend, Nigel.

His life, otherwise, was pretty typical. His sister was a few years older than both of them and a muggle, and so they weren't able to play much. He and Nigel attended school together, explored their neighborhood together and even discovered their magic together.

Sadly, Nigel and Xander were forced to part, as he would be attending Hogwarts a year before Xander would. Xander looked forward to reuniting with his friend, and hopefully making some new ones at school.

First Instance of Magic: While playing on the beach one afternoon, Nigel and Xander began an intense game of tag. As they chased one another they grew closer and closer to the shore. When Xander's mother came to collect the boys, she found them chasing each other, their little feet racing across the waves.
