My name is Daisy Evans. I am 12 years old, and I have straight auburn hair, with green eyes. I have a few freckles on my skin, but that's about all the blemishes I get on my skin other than the occasional acne.

I love to read books, and sing. My muggle friends consider me the teachers' pet. I always feel lonely, but I never show it, afraid that the people who have befriended me will leave me. I also have a bad habit of licking or pulling at my lips while I'm nervous, which makes them swollen.

I live with my two sisters, Priscilla and Daffodil (my twin), and my parents. My life was pretty simple, before I turned 6. My sister, Daffodil, started hating me. She never showed it, but I was too observant to notice the anger in her eyes. My parents have always favored Daffodil over Priscilla and I, but we never bothered.

My first instance of magic was wonderful. I met a girl named Erica Rath. She is a half-blood, and had a pureblood father, and a muggle mother, as I now call it. She was the one who introduced me to the wizarding world after I received my letter. One day, I had gone shopping for groceries with my sisters, and we met. She had pretended to be a muggle at that time, as she didn't know I had potential to be magical too. I still remember the time I performed accidental magic, as Erica calls it.

I was alone, playing with a piece of paper in the garden, when suddenly a golden light shined in my hands, and I watched as it passed through the paper. The paper cut itself on it's own and took the shape of a doe!

The next day, I received a strange letter, describing a school of witchcraft and wizardry, and that I was a witch. That day, I had seen an owl outside my bedroom window. How absurd! When I read the letter, I was shocked. But then, I became excited for the possibility of such a world existing. When I asked Erica if she knew anything about it, she explained everything to me in a quiet voice, thinking I would be angry, but instead, I hugged her!
