Kate takes after her mum. They share the same straight dark hair and brown eyes, as well as the light skin and short height. Like the rebel that she is, Kate can't wait until she's able to dye her hair a lighter brown, but her parents won't let her do anything except for bangs. If you see Kate among her peers at school, she'll likely be wearing a button up with some kind of vest. Obviously, it's part of the uniform.

Kate can be outspoken at times, but she's generally easygoing and quite social. If you ask Kate's teachers about her, they'll give you shockingly different answers. One might say she's a model student, another might say she's a troublemaker, and another might even frown and tell you that you might have the wrong student. Kate can't help but favor some classes over the others. If she has no interest in something, don't expect her to participate much, but she'll do the required work on time.

It was actually her dad, the wizard, who wanted Kate to attend normal public school. As a half-blood himself, he always appreciated the experience of going to school. While Kate doesn't exactly share his sentiment right now, they do their best to fulfil his wish. During the week, her parents assign chores like doing the dishes and sweeping the floor. Being an only child, Kate often wondered how much work she would only need to do if there were two children instead of one. She knew her dad could easily do it with magic, but he and her mum both agreed she couldn't skip the mundane work.

One time when Kate was six years old, she was being fussy and didn't want to make her bed. "I'm just going to mess it up again when I sleep, so what's the point?" She had said. Her dad tried to reason with her, but little Kate was so mad about this injustice that the bed frame behind them suddenly cracked and split apart. The splintered wood didn't harm anyone, but Kate's dad quickly took her in his arms and went out into the living room. That night, Kate could hear her parents talking in low voices in the kitchen, and caught whispers of "Hogwarts" and a "letter." She didn't know it then, but what she did just then cemented the path she would take in life.
