Cepheus Ciel Abélard is a white British young boy (with French ancestry and blood), whose eyes are icy blue with platinum blond hair. Cepheus usually stays quiet unless talked to; he is cool-headed, mature for his age, and carries a kind smile with him. He is intensely curious, highly intelligent, optimistic, dependable, and has funny anecdotes and remarks. Although, Cepheus can be stubborn at times and a perfectionist.

Cepheus always keeps his hair looking neat and combed, clothes ironed and straight. Not a hair out of place. His mother, ever the dresser, taught him to dress well and take care of his looks. She would pinch his chin and say, "Beauty holds a lot of power in this world, Cepheus." After all, a well-dressed man is a sign of nobility.

Cepheus resembles his mother the most; straight-nosed with a small lovely mouth and a heart-shaped face that always seems rosy. Cepheus has a tall and slender frame, with broad shoulders for his age. He takes from his father in that aspect, but that is not the only thing Cepheus inherited from him. Cepheus and his father have the same intellectual inclinations; you could find them in the mansion's library mulling over (both magical and muggle) philosophy, music, arts, and history. Whenever his father would go into one of his long rambles, Cepheus would listen intently. Midway through, his mother would steal him away for one of her "educational sessions". Cepheus would complain afterward to his father about how exhausting his mother's "mad scientist" moods are, but his father would instead rave—in a love-sick puppy way—about how she was an "Arthimancy and Potions prodigy".


The Abélards live in a starling white mansion-like house down in Kensington, most muggles cannot see it because the house has been covered by magical evergreens that cover the whole lot of it. The Abélards don’t usually have parties in their home, but they do get invited to them a lot; they are popular. Anthony Abélards has an ear for music, and you would usually find him playing abandoned pianos during Yule balls. While His wife, Eridanus “Eri” Abélards, would be entertaining everyone around her. They are a magnetic family.

Cepheus likes Christmas the most, his parents are very festive during this time of the year, and gets to see them being their “full crazy selves” during the Yule ball. During last year’s Christmas, Cepheus received Hogwarts: A History and has been told that this is where he will attend school next year. He was so excited; he spent the whole day and night reading. One of the things Cepheus is looking forward to is meeting kids his age and making friends at Hogwarts since he doesn’t have any. I mean, can you count Grandpa Léon his friend? Sure, Grandpa Léon can do hilarious magical tricks but he’s old!

When Cepheus first received his Hogwarts letter, his parents got happier way more than he did. They suddenly started dancing the waltz, it was a very happy day for the family. His mother sat him down (after all the dancing) and told him his first instance of accidental magic. The whole family was at the park having a picnic, Cepheus (4 at the time) was playing in the park. He saw a little boy crying over his ball, it was stuck in a tree. Cepheus felt bad for the boy and wanted to help but he didn’t have powers like mommy and daddy. When Cepheus looked at the ball again and thought of how sad the crying boy was, the ball suddenly flew across as if it was being kicked by someone. The little boy stopped crying. When his mother finished the story, his father combusted crying over “how kids grow up so fast”.
