A very slight, slender boy with vivid green eyes. Even as a baby he was small for his age but this never stopped him from adventuring off the beat and path in the local woods. He still bares some scars from tree climbing mishaps. His unruly strawberry blonde hair is often messy and his glasses are often dirty from the day's adventures.

Arthur has always been an inquisitive, intelligent, and creative person. His hours spent indoors are often spent reading books or writing in his diary or composing stories. Happiest with his own company, he likes to maintain a very small circle of friends and is not a very talkative person except in his own home with his parents. He prefers to listen and observe rather than to talk and seek attention.

His father is a German wizard named Karl Eaglewing (he anglicized his surname upon moving to England) and his mother is an English muggle named Mary. Some of Arthur's earliest memories are of sitting in the small study surrounded by all manner of strange books and magical herbs. His father was an eccentric rebellious man who never attended any magical school, instead learning all he knows from his parents. His particular passion was in potions and Arthur would often watch him working, although he could never understand what his father was doing. His father works at the Ministry of Magic but the family has always lived in the muggle world. Derby, to be precise. Arthur's only contact with the wizard world was in the books he read. Though he had little understanding of what he was reading, he was fascinated.

At the age of 8, he was reading a nature book. He was reading a passage on Hippogriffs. He became very excited and his mind began to race. He looked up from the book for a moment and found that the lightbulb was glowing brighter and brighter. As the glow intensified he became lightheaded, until the bulb burst. It was this event that lead to him receiving an owl from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry three years later.
