Moringa O. Pulver is a pure-blood born witch, daughter of Oliver and Mabel Pulver. The Pulver family doesn't have a traditionalist view of muggle-borns anymore, but their ancestors are known to have been very strict on the matter, and some of the prejudice towards muggle-borns still sticks to the newer generations of the family. The marriage of Oliver to Mabel Primus steered the Pulver family tree towards a more progressive way of thought, as the Primus family, albeit being one of pure-blood ancestry, has more liberal opinions on the matter.
Her parents were strict but loving in her upbringing, and heavily encouraged her magic abilities since she was a baby. Mabel, being an overprotective but extremely knowledgeable mother, homeschooled her only child to the best of her abilities, and by doing so raised a moody but very clever child. Her upbringing, while useful, caused her to live a bit of a lonely childhood as she never attended school; the only social interactions she ever had the chance to have were with friends of the family, often fellow wizard families with children Moringa's age or older. Her relationships with witches and wizards often older than her taught her to always be a step ahead of other people, and to never let herself be pushed around, although she's always preferred a battle of wits rather than force.
In Moringa's small world of family friends and mundane matters(well, as mundane as magic can get), noone has ever really questioned her way of being, and she hasn't encountered many obstacles along her way. This isn't to say that she doesn't have manners or was ever spoiled by her parents, who were always mindful to put her in her place when she needed a scolding.

Moringa is of average height and weight for a witch her age. She has a head full of curly brown hair, like her mother's, and dark brown eyes. She has nimble fingers and quite skinny legs, and her favourite food is the chicken broth her mom makes her when she gets sick.
She's always eager to learn new things, and her favourite subject is wizard world history. She prefers to stay inside rather than going out and scuffing her knees while playing in the dirt, and she particularly enjoys spending her free afternoons drawing dragons like the ones in his father's treasured encyclopedias.
Her room is in the attic of a suburban house in Eltham, one of the districts of south east London. The house has a backyard where both sides of the family often hold gatherings; Moringa has gotten to know all her relatives very well, and has always been close to her grandparents. All the members of her family are either successful or have succeeded every one of their goals in life: unknowingly, her family and parents have always put a great deal of pressure on Moringa. Being the youngest member in the family, and one with great promise, she strives to exceed all expectations, including the ones she set for herself. She is bound to become a very strong willed but insecure student at Hogwarts, and her strong personality is destined to clash with some of the students attending the school.
